New UK subscriber here! As someone interested in therapy and mental health - (and someone who likes a good reality show,) your channel is a great blend of the two. I really enjoy your breakdowns and insights - because we as the viewers are getting therapy nuggets from you through your vids. RE: the couples and what transpired in the last few episodes, I agree with you. I was so happy that Freddie said no, you are totally right his light dimmed and I noticed that from the honeymoon, he wasn't happy. His sister saw this and I'm glad she said something because I was wondering what marrying Cat would do to his mental health. Cat needs to find her true self as you've said, and get to know her, love her and accept her before going into a marriage - marriage will not fix her inner issue - they will magnify them if not healed. Well done to Freddie for being the respectful man he is and speaking to Cat and her parents - shows the type of man he is. As for Tom and Maria - (not John ! hahaha). I was not impressed at how he just walked off. Could he not have been kinder in that moment? He knew that he didn't want to marry Maria a few episodes back- but still went along with it, and even called Maria's mum 'mum' when she spoke with him just before the wedding. I didn't like that bit- her poor mum was in shock. All in all, everyone in LIB made the right decision for them. I just hope there is support for those on the receiving end.
Thank you so much for your kind words! I try to make videos that people can’t understand and learn from even if they don’t watch the shows I recap. This franchise is starting off very good. We see more respect towards the concept and foundation of relationships and marriage. I think this is something the US version is very much lacking. Here is seems the shows are focused on drama. I think a lot of people going into relationship with high hopes and try and see the best in people. They don’t realize how much of themselves they lose quickly, but dismiss it because they are so in love with the person and want to make a relationship work. I’m happy everyone chose what was best for themselves not for the show and others.
After going on my therapy journey. All I want is a man a partner who is healing, generous, compassionate and understanding. So one who can take care of me as much as I can take care of them
Everyone has the right to want what they want in a relationship but Tom was giving a man with no strong male (father) influence in his life which made him cultivate the attitudes he has. In the end I'm glad he lived his truth and made the right choice for himself (and Maria). Bullets dodged for both!
My mother-in-law hated me. She affected our marriage badly because of her cruelty to me. Hubby and I didn't get a chance to bond and that really affected us so we're just now connecting .
