You talk about "Slavic Invasions" descended from "Yamnaya Invasions" - but in what is now Russia these people were not invaders, this is where they come from.

It makes sense. Mostly Indo-European Slavic origin, lots of Finno-Ugric and some Scandinavian in the ethnic Russians. The rest usually comes from the 20-25% non-Russian ethnic groups who live there. Intermixing is not uncommon in Russia and the post-soviet space but it's fairly limited and until recently pretty much among similar groups. The Mongols barely left any mark on Russia. The mark they left was mostly political rather than any other.

@@nukhetyavuzI think the Slavic people took over the tartar’s land during Catherine the great. So Russian are not tartars. But there are tartars in Russia. Typical Russians are a mix of Slavic, Viking, and East Asian.

The so-called Mongol occupation of Russia was actually Turkic . The Golden Horde was made up of Turkic peoples , so Russians have more Turkic ancestry than Mongolian . The Scandinavian elements in Russian ancestry was small, because only a small number of Scandinavians came to Russia to rule the Slacvic tribes , and the Scandinavians were quickly absorbed in. the Slavic majority .

More Slavic than Turkic, modern DNA test Russian only have 5% central Asian DNA. Slavic 50%, Baltic 25%, Finnic 20%, Turkic 5%

This channel calls, almost every nation (genetically) “incredibly diverse”, but for Russia it is actually true.

The so-called Golden Horde was made of of Turkic peoples , not Mongols . Most of the soldiers in the Mongol army of Genghis Khan were from. different Turkic tribes . This explains the incredibly vast spread of the Turkic peoples. over the centuries . Russians probably have more Turkic ancestry than Mongolian .

What is the effect of modern migration of central asians into russian cities since the Soviet period? How much they have enriched the Russian culture and how fast they are being absorbed into the Russian society? Can you also talk on the shrinking population of Russia, especially of males?

The male population is not shrinking. You just had high alcoholism related deaths among post-fertile old men. In the younger age groups the population is even like any country.

I don’t think the central Asians has done much to the Russian genome because mostly the ethnic Russians moved to Central Asia instead the other way around. And after the collapse of ussr, a lot of ethnic Russians moved out of Central Asia.

Vikings origin is Nordic, but it is more of an occupation there are Vikings in the Northwest of Russia, near the Baltic sea. Ethnic Russian are whiter (pinkish white) than typical Ukrainian, Balkans.
