God, imagine an entire episode dedicated to Kirby eating other things and transforming

Idea: animating Pokémon evolving. As in, animate what happens during the flash, the shift between forms, like them getting bigger, growing appendages, etc.
So basically how the evolution looks in the anime now(the pokemon glow blue but still show the body which changes
I think it would be interesting if they animate pokemons evolving to another pokemons not even remotely close, ex: a bulbasur evolving into a dragonite 🐢

honestly, i think a cool idea would be taking old characters (example mickey mouse because he was the inspo behind the idea) and having a round where they go from their older versions to their modern forms? like old steamboat willy turns into the corporate mouse we all fear.

The fact that at one frame it looks like _something else.._ but we cam ignore it from the fact it looks amazing when its animated!
you know what they need to do next? The Buu Absorption from DBZ! we've seen in some of the video games that Buu can absorb people and transform his clothing into what they wear, but can also have their personalities and we've seen him shapeshift into actual people in the show. they can totally do that on Gartic Phone!
Since Buu absorption is being suggested, they should also do Mouthful Mode versions of people.
@@iantaakalla8180 Mouthful Mode? you mean Kirby form? well, i dunno how well that'd work. i mean, in Smash it'd work, but just having certain characters weapons/hats on Kirby doesn't sound exciting or worth it for a Stream. it's gotta be full body changes for these awesome animators, i think. but that'd till be cool to see though.
How about Buu transforming characters into Majin’s (his race class from Xenoverse and DBZ Online) instead?

@@majorleaguezombie796 Create a Character Buu’s, but what if Majin Buu did it to _pre-existing_ characters instead of creating them with a partner in the old Dragon Ball Online/Xenoverse EU lore. Basically take a character, and hit them with one of Buu’s beams or get surrounded by Buu’s pink goo and instead of becoming candy/sweets or just looking like Super Buu put on that character’s clothes, it would look like that character if they were always a Majin.

This is sick as fuck. The diversity in characters made the final designs of a design that's basically just one single color silhouette with an emblem super interesting to watch what from the base character makes it into the final design. Big fan!

@@fellowspacemarine6657 That's definitely a cool one. I think my #1 is probably Assassin Spider-man. The what-if he originates from back in 2008 was one of my favorites when I was in high school. I really liked the concept of a Spider-Man who was trained by Wolverine in the art of killing.
Never thought I’d see Spamton here. Also I realize how much variation are in Spamton drawings when I actually got happy to see Spamton with canon accurate proportions and pupils, which is how I draw him.
19:40 Jenny's one sticks out to me because of this, primarily because she's actually had her own Venom-like scenario happen to her. It's most likely just pure coincidence, but the way she was drawn really shows the rising panic and fear in her eyes upon realizing she can't fight Venom off. It legit feels like she's actually thinking; "No no no not again, please don't let this happen again!"
Makes the scene feel a lot more tragic compared to the rest...

Most if not all of them turned out great, I mean the Jenny one kinda stumbled at the end, sucks the details were lost, but yeah overall this was fantastic
I think Link & Kirby's we're the best of the batch, sorry rambling, point is this was awesome

The Kirby one is like a scene where everyone's getting infected and Kirby's transformation is a double fake out where it's "Oh no! Oh he's okay. Oh no!"

I love every single one. I especially like how each character reacts differently to the symbiosis
*C18: Stoic observation.* Excellent perspective shots, and the rotation is beautiful!
*Spamton: Fear, with undertones of bottom energy. (thanks Genheim, Aaron Schmidt, and Koro).* Love that wing pop! Looks like it could be canon.
*Mimikyu: Alarm and panic.* The bite & merge worked great! For favorite detail, I'm torn between the tail tongue and the 4 eyes (Gimyosan popping off!).
*Jenny: Heroic determination falling to disbelieving horror.* Amazing expressions here! Excellent end pose with the roar.
*Kirby: Business as usual.* Is Venom taking over Kirby's body, or is Kirby pulling his usual "Eat the Enemy to Gain Its Power" schtick? I love that it's ambiguous enough that either interpretation works. The long hold after Kirby slurps up the symbiote hits perfectly.
*Poison: Anticipation. She absolutely consented to this.* That tongue whip tho! Excellent.
*Samus: Confusion.* The slow bite over the helmet is excellently dramatic, as is the fist clench at the end.
*Jinx: Excitement. Power up time!* I'm a sucker for half-and-half faces like the thumbnail frame, and these are great expressions! The heart braids and the logo are a nice touch.
*Link: Terror and helpless resignation.* The tongue swirl worked out way better than it had any right to. I also really like the arm movement, especially on that end pose
You guys, as like a fun little thing to do in your free time, actually animate one of your animations from gartic phone when you collab to make these kinds. Like take the time to animate it properly into a proper animation, use more frames, what ever fps, colors, canvas size, everything and anything you can think of

The fusion ones are some of my favourites, so it’s nice to see similar ideas with a new twist! A few people have mentioned this already, but I’d love to see a round where a specific character is inhaled and copied by Kirby, I think that’d be fun
For the Samus Aran, I kinda hoped an in view of her helmet would be given before the symbiote mouth 'chomps' over her helmet.
Today was the day the crew decided to flex their animation of fluid dynamics because... FUCK, this is so good. And the way it flows even with fewer frames is really impressive. GG, artists!

These no time limit episodes are my favourite. I know there's so much work that goes into them and it only makes the final product more epic and I get so much more attached to them. I hope ya'll know how much we appreciate these goofy little episodes and also how much we appreciate you.

I like how links hands went to his chest and then revealed the triforce. The mark is unsually on the hand so it kinda makes sense that it moved in that moment

I think the way these past few videos have been, showing highlights from drawing instead of skipping it entirely, is a pretty good compromise between that and showing all of the drawing. Thanks for putting out these videos, guys!
You know, the venom symbiote takes after its host in certain ways, yes it has had many and many influences, but the hero of Hyrule has had many lives and is a continuous perigon of good. Could he potentially bond with the symbiote in a heroic union?

I’d still love to see a Yugioh character or Digimon get involved in one of these, and honestly not crazed with the Spamton one. Kirby is precious, Mimikyu is kinda cute, Samus looks badass, and Android 18’s was the absolute best animation wise. You guys are amazingly talented and we all appreciate the amount of time and effort you out into these kinds of videos, because it’s a lot of work but you guys always make such amazing animations! So thank you for all your hard work.

I think my favorites were Mimikyu and Kirby, because they seemed like the most real, but I liked Link as well. If there were more frames, I'd like to see Jinx's braids snap like whips before forming the heart.
The best thing about these transformation sequences I think is any style changes that are ran with, like the loss of spikes on samus or the shift in braids on Jinx just look like the symbiote settling into shape

The fact that Ross saved some of the original stuff in the frames that were lost and set the foundation for making the Kirby scene work shows just how much talent this man has.

In the Samus animation, it looks like the spikes from her shoulders got pulled down into her fingertips as claws instead in my opinion which looked SICK!
Mimikyu Venom and Link Venom were actually so freaking cool like WHAT
ahhh those were all so good! absolutely loved them all, but Kirby and link had to be my favorites, Kirby especially because of how you all 'saved' it, it ended up look amazing, the final frame was beautiful!
I love how Gartic Phone is a fun little pictonary site about silly drawings but this is just animators working remotely without bing able to look at each other or the rest of the frames
I think my one criticism is that the final forms should be more… I don’t know if this is the proper term, but dynamic. Tendrils flailing from their backs, symbiotic goop dripping from their limbs, copious amounts of saliva- I think those would have helped to take these symbiote infections to another level. That being said, this was all fucking phenomenal. From the power of Link and Poison, to the insanity of Jinx, to the horror of Spamton and Jenny, to the raw creativity of Kirby, each one of these was badass. I love seeing these movie mode projects. I can’t wait to see what you guys do next!

I love the garlic phone episodes, but tbh I think the main limitation is not being able to see frames in context. Seeing how good these animations are with each artist only able to see the frame directly before just makes me think about how insane they could be if the artists could see the frames their making in context of the whole thing! Maybe someday you guys can do one of these but instead each just pour all of your effort into one frame of the same animation, and just make one short but incredible animation? Might be cool to see!

Honestly my favorite part of these is RubberRoss' expressions they are KILLER
Idea: Fusions, but it's 1 Marvel character and 1 DC character fusing into one.
Another idea: Take any cartoon character and slowly turn them into anime girls.

My thing, and excuse my nitpicking, is that I think a lot of people really miss the potential of a Venomized design by making it look like Venom himself. He is a venomized mirror of Spider-Man, hence the spider logo and the pointy eyes. I see it all the time where people will include one or both of these elements, even if the character is not Spider-related at all, and it simply bothers me a bit. I think there's a lot of buried potential in instead expressing the most eye-catching aspects of the original design. Don't get me wrong, tho, this is still just my one nitpick. Ross and the team always do amazing work.
