Watching the video this week reminded me of a series I first saw on Sky, Swiss Railway Journeys. Over several episodes all the major railway lines in Switzerland were covered. The copyright owner has put all the videos on TH-cam (@SwissRailwayJourneys) when he retired and stopped selling the videos and DVDs. The views of your trains going around really reminded me of some of the shots from the series. Stephen

I'm just catching up with videos over a cuppa and a few biscuits, with my grandson. It's been another enjoyable watch, especially travelling to Switzerland within leaving the comfort of our own home. My grandson was suitable impressed as he's just come back from a trip with the scouts from Switzerland. Did you catch the Dylington Rocks video, loudrockmusic flashing lights and a few trains...cheers James 🙂👍

Good morning Paul of Wickford ☘️ well a trip to Switzerland 🇨🇭 and the green fields and mountain 🏔️ scenes and not a single bit of mud in sight ☹️😉! It looks like a very large layout you have and mighty impressive it looks. To take up a whole room now?! The trains are certainly very different from the UK with double decker coaches of which I’ve traveled on some very similar on my trips to Holland 🇳🇱 they are huge beasts and some nice cargo trains! I would like to see where you keep all that rolling stock it must fill a whole other room 😮😂! Cheers Gary

Morning Paul - so a Swiss fest today. I'm sold on the "cargo" loco and wagons but the double decker passenger carriages - not so much. They just look too big !! Need to hold back - don't want to enter rant mode. Talking of rants - Mr I is very excited as the postie might have something for him this morning ( just hope for all our sakes it's his 59 😅). If and when it does arrive I'm looking forward to one he'll of a Piddle rant 😂

Hi Paul, another fantastic video of your great trains. I wondered if I could ask you a couple of questions? 1) what is your preferred track? Code 55 or 80? Also do you use electro frog points? Many thanks for sharing.
Hello Anthony 👋 Track is a very tricky question 🤔 and really depends on your stock and track plan 😇 Peco Code 55 and unifrog points are definitely the best looking option 👍 but if you're using older stock or Continental models you have to be careful of the wheel flanges 😝 If you are planning very tight curves 🤔 you should definitely consider "set track" pieces rather than flexi track 🤕 When all is said and done, the most important part is making sure that whatever track you choose, that fishplates are securely connected and the transitions from piece to piece are flat 👍 bumps and gaps lead to derailment's 😝 If you follow the work of Euan The Blackwood Growler 😇 you can't go wrong 🤩 Many thanks for watching and very best wishes from the Emerald Isle ☘️
Thanks for replying buddy. I have very few curves as my layout is end to end. My choice of going to electrifrog or unifrog is because my dcc locos are stopping on the insulfrog points. So while I was taking track up, I thought I may as well go for Code 55. Have a good weekend my friend. 👍
