Guide to Mid Length Surfboards

There seems to be a new Mid Length surfboard model from one brand or another on almost weekly basis nowadays and frankly its all getting a bit complicated! As much for our own sanity as well as giving a few guidelines to the uninitiated, we’ve put together a rudimentary guide as to what mid length you should go for.

Looking for a mid that will perform similar to a longboard when I want it to but still offers more ways of riding it depending on fit set-up. Could the CI Mid be the perfect weapon of choice?

You have a few options here! The CI Mid is certainly a contender, the Libtech pick up stick, Almond Joy, Lovemachine Thick Lizzy .... all will give you that effortless paddle power and glide of a larger board , but still turn and respond to what you as the surfer wants to do on the wave. Mids aren't just for cruising , but can be ridden in various styles and conditions.
