- A Coal train on former MRL 3rd subdivision A Gold Creek and then the Thompson Falls Fuel Local, headed back to Missoula, on the 4th sub at Weeksville and again on the 10th sub at Dixon.
MRL used to assign their SD70s to this run and the railcars were white. BNSF has new fuel cars and they have scattered most of the fleet of SD70s to the winds.
Another fine effort. Great composition and you have a knack for finding locations that allow for viewing trains coming and going. Well done.
Thank you Bruce! I do try to find locations where I can get the trains both ways, but it isn't always easy. I don't know how many times I stop at what looks like a great location, only to find big trees or bushes in the way or you can only see a short distance. Thanks for watching my friend!
It's really an absolutely stunning train presentation !! Greetings from India.
Thank you Rupak, I appreciate that and thanks for watching my friend!

Love the video, and I had a feeling that was you at Dixon when I saw the camera setup. I still have the video and photos from that day and at Dixon
Thank you, it was nice meeting you that day! After I left Dixon I was lucky enough to catch the BNSF employee special passenger train just east of Clinton and a super coal train on the west side of Mullan Pass. Thanks for watching my friend!
That was a short oil train for sure. Still great……
Thank you Charles. It's a fuel local that ships gasoline from Missoula, Montana up to Thompson Falls, Montana on a daily basis. Thanks for watching my friend!

You will probably be seeing a lot more of them, MRL turned their lease back over to BNSF, so no more MRL, BNSF took possession of it all on Jan 1st of 2024. Thanks for watching my friend!

Hey Dave, did BNSF buy out MRL because I’ve been seeing them SD 70s aces all over the place but anyway another great video my friend and you stay safe out there and watch your back and we’ll see you on the next one
Hi Timmy, MRL had a 60 year lease from BNSF for the portion of the railroad they operated. It's always been owned by BNSF. Although MRL still had twenty some years left on the lease, MRL decided on an early termination of the lease and the STB approved it and as of January 1st of this year MRL is no more!
