Using a phone charger is much safer and easier Removing the led with a screwdriver is much easier and less messy then you got the rest of the led mainly the metal part in the bottom of it you can apply some heat to it using some solder on the soldering tip to transfer heat and remove it easily with no plastic mess Another method that I'd use for soldering the new led is to to have this wide tip you have to heat the two spots in the same time then i get the led on the two spots to avoid damaging the led The methods I mentioned here are more DIY and cleaner looking I never used flux(it's already in the soldering wire I solder with) And you don't need flux to remove the leds that are damaged
I would add this. Don't cut anything, you have solder iron, use it. It does not matter if you burn through silk screen and expose contacts. Also, phone charger is lighting or type-c, which is kind of hard to use, unless you cut, and if you cut it, it is still only 5 volts, on some bulbs it won't be enough, so I stand behind either 12V power supply or 9V battery.
Tools & supplies are in description. These are like screw driver, you need to have these in your home!!

What if my led is blinking? I would buy a knew one if the old one wasn't so good
If bulb is blinking, one of the LEDs is about to go out. Find out which LED is bad and replace it.
