that all looks great Sam, but I'm left handed and a lot of what you're saying doesn't apply, any ideas. it's mainly because the cut on the scissors is the wrong way round. Keep up the good work😊
Well Sam, you got me shopping today. I ordered this wheel, the stamping platform, your 3D delights dies, your wax set and the paper trimmer, oh ya and the small blending brushes. You are a bad (but good) influence on me… 😂
Making a border is a tip I haven’t heard before. Thanks Sam. Not good with a knife, probably because I don’t use one sharp enough but rotating platform definitely useful for that.
You gave some very handy tips there Sam, for those that have difficulty in fussy cutting with scissors. Or if they have manual dexterity problems. I think thickening the black lines could be a big help to some too. I do love fussy cutting myself. I find it very relaxing and a little bit addictive, but totally get the fact that some can't bare it. Your a great tutor Sam. The Lazy Susan craft mat tool, looks a very handy thing. 👍
So a tools hop that has taken me from this morning till now to finish watch, I started watching this during my lunch break got interupted by the phone but decided to come back and saw the outline technique, fab idea as might help with my hands when they play up, thanks SAM another gem of a video
Love the rotating mat, I can imagine so many uses, not least keeping grandchildren quiet, no more "I haven't got anything on my side ..." a quick spin and everyone happy. Thank you!
I learned to angle the scissors from your last fussy cutting video and it's really helped a LOT. Practice is definitely the key to getting good results. I love your tip about adding the thicker black border. Tyfs!
Thank you Sam for sharing. I do love decoupage pierced stitched cards. which I am making just now for my friends Snowflake Challenge a Christmas card every week ex docraft buddies do this.... The black border is a good idea if you are stamping images... Happy crafting..
Fantastic tips on fussy cutting. I am trying to do it more and more. The rotating cutting mat is a great idea for cutting with the blade. Thanks Sam for your demo.
Thank God you use stamps and dies vs. the electronic mainstream cutting machine - years ago, I purchased cartridge after cartridge of images, and now they tell me I own five. Subscribed to a lifetime publication and it ended. And doing the simplest, thing, like cutting out a few letters, this morning, is a nightmare!
Those tips are really good. Will totally try adding a black outline / border to make my life easier. I do struggle with fussy cutting so I think that will be a huge help because atm I have stamps I love but don't use because I don't have coordinating dies to go with x
Haha love hate is a major understatement, I fussy cut, but hate it, lol I also use the black outline but nothing like you have shown, that shall be my next try because well it’s a love hate relationship. 😂😂 puppy is cute. 😂 Tfs this information, fantastic ❤😊
Brilliant demo Sam Thank you, I love the idea of drawing a line around your image, I tried grey worked great and looked like a shadow.I think this rotating mat would work perfect for me for the intricate cutting out, as Im a accident waiting to happen 😁
I don't fussy cut at all, as even when I go round the finished cut edge with a black pen it still looks like a jagged mess... However, your tip about expanding the cut line is inspired Sam! ❤️ If I expand the edge with the same colour as my background, it may just be the answer I need to get my fussy cutting scissors out! 🤗 Thank you
I love this. I love fussy cutting but always struggling. I even for a swivel knife and find it's worse as the blade is so small if it's card stock it's to think and paper ends up ripping. I am forever changing the blades. This mat is going on my wish list.
I really struggle with fussy cutting as I have a slight tremor in my left hand but using the platform could maybe solve my problem 🤞it’s worth a try. Thank you Sam xx
that all looks great Sam, but I'm left handed and a lot of what you're saying doesn't apply, any ideas. it's mainly because the cut on the scissors is the wrong way round. Keep up the good work😊
