Dagger dutchess was the first time I felt like I literally couldn’t compete unless I got a card. I’ve leveled the Egor mortar miner deck to max and I’m banking everything from here on out. The problem I run into is everytime I get close to maxing a deck the meta changes and as a F2P player you just have to take the L and accept you’re not gonna do as well
Yep when dagger duchess was at its peak you couldnt win unless you had it and if you didnt have it then you would be at a big disadvantage and would most likely lose even if the opponent was worse

I'll give an example, CR should learn from this. Yesterday in Brawl Stars i bought my first brawl pass that costed money. It's the first time in ever (and i've been playing since 2019) i've bought something for real money in the game. Now, the normal price for it i consider too expensive and the Brawl Pass+ (the equivalent to Diamond pass) is even more expensive. I wouldn't have bought it IF NOT for a discount it was on for half the price.
I quit Clash Royale with a maxed out level 13 account a few years ago and was thinking of getting back into it but the paywall has gotten so ridiculous that my maxed account from a few years ago feels like a noob account at 3000 trophies. Used to be able to rank in top 1000 globally. Unless I were to fork over hundreds if not thousands of dollars to buy all of the broken upgrades, troops, evolutions, and cards, I don't even a prayer shot of ranking in top 10,000. It's ridiculous. I only occasionally watch top ladder players play because it's such a pipe dream to ever get all of those upgrades to even compete. What's even crazier is that all of those changes happened over basically a year or two. You literally have to try to ruin a game this much in just a year.
What can you even buy in clash royale for thousands of euros? I feel like 400-600 euros at most is enough to max everything in the game, what were you even buying?

Clash Royale is supposed to be a strategic game where its one policy is that "No card is supposed to be the best." I always wanted new cards to be added, but not Champions, Evolutions and Tower Troops along with changing the season pass. They treated it like Clash of Clans when it's a game of competition, not war.

The decline would’ve been delayed if they were smart about it. Team Fortress, CSGO, and other games are in the same stage of decline but the games have been surviving for more than a decade, clash royale have not made it through a full decade yet

yeah that comment at around 20:00 is really what's making me lose interest in the game. Last season I grinned to royal champion and couldn't get any further. I wanted to play a different deck, but that's literally the only deck I have that has almost all level 15 cards. I just can't try anything else, because I will lose every time. Clash of clans keeps me coming back because when I get bored of an attack strategy, I can just try another army composition to freshen it up for me.

I’m in league 9 and in the middle of the season they nerfed 3 of my cards and my tower troop. It’s insane if I can’t even play my deck for more than a month. Feels like I have to do this all the time. No fun at all. Now to be competitive I need to spend a ton of money to win. And I don’t even mind spending some cash. But this is no longer fun.

But now somehow seems it’s even worse and too late to save the game without destroying/deleting everything they did in the last 2 years. I just don’t understand, Clash Royale at its core is probably my favorite game of all time and nowadays I barely play it. Like I literally play Pokemon Go you’d think that no one could handle a game worse than Niantic and then you see CR just being 10x worse. It makes no sense when Brawl Stars is just killing it every update now. I’m going to actually disagree I don’t think champions were the downfall of CR I think it was when they stopped monthly balance changes. Pair that with the horrendous monetization and it’s just terrible. We waited for what 4 months for little prince to get nerfed and now it’s finally nerfed but they nerfed it to the ground to the point I found out only 15% of decks right now in GC even use a champion like are we kidding how do u let this happen. The worst part is I think the concepts for all the updates were really smart I like the idea of Champions, evolutions (other than zap, damage dealing spells never should have gotten evolutions, maybe defensive towers too) and tower troops (even if they were like 4 years too late) but they managed to implement them all so badly. Like champions were fine but lvl 14 was implemented with the whole slash Royale controversy, then saying u could only unlock champions when u hit king tower 14 which I was fine with but now you don’t even need to so what was the point of lvl 14 or 15. Then you release evos with only 4 evolutions like funneling the same decks when realistically 6-8 should’ve been released at the start minimum to make the meta ok. Then the fact they’re impossible to get, why would they make it u get one shard every 2 king levels at that rate it should be a full new evo. Then finally make it so there’s only one new tower troop making it impossible to balance when realistically they should’ve started with 3 new ones plus the princess. I don’t know where all the dev time is going bc these updates take forever and release nothing. Then the absolute worst part is the lack of transparency like they told us we’d get a roadmap, never happened. I don’t ever see the CR community managers on twitter, can’t say the same about CoC and BS who are always talking to the community. Finally if you still aren’t convinced just watch a brawl talk and you’ll notice the difference then realize there’s one every two months. Yup it’s night and day

My way to play was I would get stuck from not buying the meta and would use a max level potion and just speed run to the top. But I havnt seen those potions in stock for over a year so I'll be done for in the future.

I agree with B-rad on almost everything but this game has always been very p2w. I think there's a lot of nostalgia talking when you don't remember how unfair and broken legendaries were upon released, not having Princess when it was released and broken was as frustrating if not more than facing double evolution and DD. I also think the new mechanics are cool, it's why I came back to the game. They just gotta tame down the p2w levelling system and be better with balancing, cosmetics should be the primary monetisation strategy anyway
if you were skilled, you could do classic challenges and 500 gems in tournaments and max in a couple of years at lvl 14. Now, the ceiling is about as high as Everest and impossible to be attained feasibly in a relevant amount of time.

The only thing i want is 1- make level caps at arenas, im arena 15 and im sick of getting lvl 13 cards 2- make restrictions on offers, like the firecracker evo offers, if you havent reached spooky town you should not be able to buy the offer, same should apply on the champion offers that appear on arena 11 3- of course remove lvl 15 and make evo shards easier to get for f2ps 4- bring back wild cards in the season shop Don't hate me if I missed something

Return to previous Pass Royale, increase lucky drop percentages, if you want the new season Evo you can pay, but if you want it for free you can get it next season and same for the rest of Evos in future, delete the new game mode and put it as a special season challenge cuz it's better than play for 3 days and then it's dead. Completely delete lvl 15 and wild cards cuz it's crap. Add 2v2 game mode as a test and if is good then turn it into a competitive game mode. Fix the season store, balance the tower troops, create new competitive stuff, add some new cards at least one every 3 months or something and please erase at least 50% of store offers, is crazy how you need to spend almost 1000 dollars to buy everything. That's it, no more P2W, at least I'll be a P2F so supercell can still winning millions and not kill the game at all. I had uninstalled last year only when I got to know as a f2p player evolutions can't be unlocked and tower troops can't be used. I just came back this time for three new cards but would uninstall pretty soon.

Its also worth mentioning that clash of clans increased the price of the gold pass but COMPENSATED the players with another book and an automatic forge slot, while CR just took away any hopes of maxing for people who aren't whaling.
I thought it was dumb that if you had 15 princess tower, you were still getting princesses way more often from the tower troop chests than the cannoneer and dagger duchess.
It was dumb that you were getting princesses in the first place, since you don't need them to drop at all to upgrade. They drop only because if they didn't, it'll be too easy to unlock Dagger Duchess and Cannoneer.
@@jakeextreme4108 back when it was just cannoneer, I did the help and support in clash royale just asking why I was getting so many princesses from the tower troop chests and they told me it was a 3:1 ratio. A 75% chance to get cards you already had maxed and a 25% chance to get the new tower troop. That’s so blatantly scummy.

As far as I'm aware, you can't upgrade her to specific level until you upgrade your King to that level, so the Princess as a drop is absolutely useless at any point in the game Thanks supercell, you could've just decreased the amount of tower troop chests
Cr devs team is also shit at balancing cards. They would buff the card without any reason. For instance, the buff on prince and ram rider which dumb as hell to get player to buy an evolution that is underwhelming. That is just straight up stupid.
I am an OG clash royale player of 8 years. I reached lvl 54 this month. I am a f2p player and grinded my way. I stopped playing for 4 years in between. So my total progress is of 4 years. But people should just stop buying for wins and actually develop strategies. It's disheartening that the game had to turn this way now.

Supercell is all about the cash grab. Their model is painfully obvious: launch a new card, make it ridiculously overpowered, and watch as people spend money to upgrade it. Then, inevitably, they nerf it. This happens with EVERY card they release. Now they’re even doing it with tower troops! It’s clear they prioritize profit over player experience. People need to stop giving them money. That’s the only way they’ll ever change and start focusing on making the game enjoyable again instead of just milking players for cash.
I love how since June 2023 I stopped playing and the only thing I do about Clash Royale is watching its fanbase and content creators have beef with greedy devs. Its been more than a year and I still enjoy watching it while not caring a single bit about Clash Royale anymore

I agree with him in everything. I face some opponents in the war with a lower card level, and the opponent has a higher card level and I defeat him easily. After I enter his profile, I find that he has reached 9000 trophies, and I am still at 7000. This does not mean that he is better, but he pays money and I do not pay, so I think that The game system is very bad because the game system is expected to depend on the level of performance. I refunded 1 purchase I made in Clash Royale and got perma banned. It was my free 2 play account I spent years growing up. Had 2 Evo, Maxed Dagger Duchess, etc. Everything F2P and many hours invested and for this refund they destroyed everything. I tried weeks to contact them on different platforms (even new account in game support section) and nothing. I really loved and enjoyed this game but unless they start to respect players they will lose in the long-term run. I quit Clash Royale with a maxed out level 13 account a few years ago and was thinking of getting back into it but the paywall has gotten so ridiculous that my maxed account from a few years ago feels like a noob account at 3000 trophies. Used to be able to rank in top 1000 globally. Unless I were to fork over hundreds if not thousands of dollars to buy all of the broken upgrades, troops, evolutions, and cards, I don't even a prayer shot of ranking in top 10,000. It's ridiculous. I only occasionally watch top ladder players play because it's such a pipe dream to ever get all of those upgrades to even compete. What's even crazier is that all of those changes happened over basically a year or two. You literally have to try to ruin a game this much in just a year.

Clash Royale is supposed to be a strategic game where its one policy is that "No card is supposed to be the best." I always wanted new cards to be added, but not Champions, Evolutions and Tower Troops along with changing the season pass. They treated it like Clash of Clans when it's a game of competition, not war.

yeah that comment at around 20:00 is really what's making me lose interest in the game. Last season I grinned to royal champion and couldn't get any further. I wanted to play a different deck, but that's literally the only deck I have that has almost all level 15 cards. I just can't try anything else, because I will lose every time. Clash of clans keeps me coming back because when I get bored of an attack strategy, I can just try another army composition to freshen it up for me.

I’m in league 9 and in the middle of the season they nerfed 3 of my cards and my tower troop. It’s insane if I can’t even play my deck for more than a month. I actually quit after the monk update and I was really glad to know things got like 4 times worse a few months later when they released level 15 and killed the pass royale. But now somehow seems it’s even worse and too late to save the game without destroying/deleting everything they did in the last 2 years. I just don’t understand, Clash Royale at its core is probably my favorite game of all time and nowadays I barely play it. Like I literally play Pokemon Go you’d think that no one could handle a game worse than Niantic and then you see CR just being 10x worse. It makes no sense when Brawl Stars is just killing it every update now. I’m going to actually disagree I don’t think champions were the downfall of CR I think it was when they stopped monthly balance changes. Pair that with the horrendous monetization and it’s just terrible. We waited for what 4 months for little prince to get nerfed and now it’s finally nerfed but they nerfed it to the ground to the point I found out only 15% of decks right now in GC even use a champion like are we kidding how do u let this happen. The worst part is I think the concepts for all the updates were really smart I like the idea of Champions, evolutions (other than zap, damage dealing spells never should have gotten evolutions, maybe defensive towers too) and tower troops (even if they were like 4 years too late) but they managed to implement them all so badly. Like champions were fine but lvl 14 was implemented with the whole slash Royale controversy, then saying u could only unlock champions when u hit king tower 14 which I was fine with but now you don’t even need to so what was the point of lvl 14 or 15. Then you release evos with only 4 evolutions like funneling the same decks when realistically 6-8 should’ve been released at the start minimum to make the meta ok. Then the fact they’re impossible to get, why would they make it u get one shard every 2 king levels at that rate it should be a full new evo. Then finally make it so there’s only one new tower troop making it impossible to balance when realistically they should’ve started with 3 new ones plus the princess. I don’t know where all the dev time is going bc these updates take forever and release nothing. Then the absolute worst part is the lack of transparency like they told us we’d get a roadmap, never happened. I don’t ever see the CR community managers on twitter, can’t say the same about CoC and BS who are always talking to the community. Finally if you still aren’t convinced just watch a brawl talk and you’ll notice the difference then realize there’s one every two months. Yup it’s night and day

I agree with B-rad on almost everything but this game has always been very p2w. I think there's a lot of nostalgia talking when you don't remember how unfair and broken legendaries were upon released, not having Princess when it was released and broken was as frustrating if not more than facing double evolution and DD.
I also think the new mechanics are cool, it's why I came back to the game. They just gotta tame down the p2w levelling system and be better with balancing, cosmetics should be the primary monetisation strategy anyway
if you were skilled, you could do classic challenges and 500 gems in tournaments and max in a couple of years at lvl 14. Now, the ceiling is about as high as Everest and impossible to be attained feasibly in a relevant amount of time.

The only thing i want is
1- make level caps at arenas, im arena 15 and im sick of getting lvl 13 cards
2- make restrictions on offers, like the firecracker evo offers, if you havent reached spooky town you should not be able to buy the offer, same should apply on the champion offers that appear on arena 11
3- of course remove lvl 15 and make evo shards easier to get for f2ps
4- bring back wild cards in the season shop

I’ve played this game sense I was in 7th grade all the way up until a year ago or two I’m a junior in college, this used to be one of my favorite games ever, Idk who the slimy disgusting, stinking, goofy, cr*ck smoking developers r now but they have absolutely destroyed this once amazing competitive game u could play for hours or with ur friends, now it’s all about that money money money, and they r so stupid with how they do it that it doesn’t even work, like how stupid r the developers, idk what fake green they r smoking but they r tweaked tf out, I have never seen a game be so amazing to a joke and a parody of itself so fast it’s insane, and I’m truly just disappointed and sad, it’s just like how Disney destroyed Star Wars, some new ppl came in, absolutely on that Heisenberg blue crystal, just like everyone at Disney and absolutely destroyed this amazing game.
Return to previous Pass Royale, increase lucky drop percentages, if you want the new season Evo you can pay, but if you want it for free you can get it next season and same for the rest of Evos in future, delete the new game mode and put it as a special season challenge cuz it's better than play for 3 days and then it's dead. Completely delete lvl 15 and wild cards cuz it's crap. Add 2v2 game mode as a test and if is good then turn it into a competitive game mode. Fix the season store, balance the tower troops, create new competitive stuff, add some new cards at least one every 3 months or something and please erase at least 50% of store offers, is crazy how you need to spend almost 1000 dollars to buy everything. That's it, no more P2W, at least I'll be a P2F so supercell can still winning millions and not kill the game at all. And no, I'm not a noobie who has been playing for 2 months, I'm a lvl 67 player with Evos, tower troops, CRL and ladder badge, been playing for 6 years now and I couldn't be more disappointed about this game rn.
I had uninstalled last year only when I got to know as a f2p player evolutions can't be unlocked and tower troops can't be used. I just came back this time for three new cards but would uninstall pretty soon.

I thought it was dumb that if you had 15 princess tower, you were still getting princesses way more often from the tower troop chests than the cannoneer and dagger duchess.
It was dumb that you were getting princesses in the first place, since you don't need them to drop at all to upgrade. They drop only because if they didn't, it'll be too easy to unlock Dagger Duchess and Cannoneer.

@@jakeextreme4108 back when it was just cannoneer, I did the help and support in clash royale just asking why I was getting so many princesses from the tower troop chests and they told me it was a 3:1 ratio. A 75% chance to get cards you already had maxed and a 25% chance to get the new tower troop. That’s so blatantly scummy.
@@JRokk Even if you don't have maxed Tower Princess, you can get her cards from the tower troop chest. As far as I'm aware, you can't upgrade her to specific level until you upgrade your King to that level, so the Princess as a drop is absolutely useless at any point in the game

Cr devs team is also shit at balancing cards. They would buff the card without any reason. For instance, the buff on prince and ram rider which dumb as hell to get player to buy an evolution that is underwhelming. That is just straight up stupid.
I am an OG clash royale player of 8 years. I reached lvl 54 this month.
I am a f2p player and grinded my way. I stopped playing for 4 years in between. So my total progress is of 4 years.
But people should just stop buying for wins and actually develop strategies.

Supercell is all about the cash grab. Their model is painfully obvious: launch a new card, make it ridiculously overpowered, and watch as people spend money to upgrade it. Then, inevitably, they nerf it. This happens with EVERY card they release. Now they’re even doing it with tower troops! It’s clear they prioritize profit over player experience. People need to stop giving them money. That’s the only way they’ll ever change and start focusing on making the game enjoyable again instead of just milking players for cash.
With 100 bucks you can:
A) buy something necessary (like food or electricity)
B) buy Elden Ring+DLC
C) buy 4 evolutions on a now bad mobile game

I agree with him in everything. I face some opponents in the war with a lower card level, and the opponent has a higher card level and I defeat him easily. After I enter his profile, I find that he has reached 9000 trophies, and I am still at 7000. I refunded 1 purchase I made in Clash Royale and got perma banned. It was my free 2 play account I spent years growing up. I've always felt like the game needs your money just for you to try the new update. Like the new update is literally just shop offers and that's it

the worst thing is not the pay to win factor, it is the "pay to play". So much new content which is only available if you pay.
I said it when level 13 was announced and it's still true. There is absolutely no reason, not even a single one, that makes the game better by introducing another kingtower level. The only thing is does it try to make people spend money.
There’s so much better ways to make money but they’re too stupid. Add free content that’s not pay-to-win. That’s what Fortnite, Brawl Stars, and Pubg did.
I remember the e wizz challenge, playing with half the school, clash royale 2018 where good times, never imagined the game to get ruined like this 😢
Completely agree with B-Rad with each and every word he said. Been playing this game for almost 10 years and now I don’t feel like I’m enjoying the game with such bad upgrades, mainly these new goblin queen stuff…
