Well, the Leafs powerplay is beyond terrible and the penalty kill is worse. Who's fault is that? I've always stood up for Babcock, but at some point you need to question what the hell he is doing in that bench! It's been 3 years with a star filled team and the result is ALWAYS the same.
My Capitals slayed multiple demons last year on the way to the Cup. We said oh no not the Pens again, oh no not the Lightning again. Beat em both. I believe the Leafs have it this year. It's not impossible, nothing is and as our glorious radio play-by-play man, John Walton said: "It's okay to believe".
Home ice advantage doesn't seem like home ice advantage any more for either the Leafs and Bruins. Seem like they play better away from all the pressure and scrutiny. So that would be an advantage for the Leafs in game seven playing in Boston. GO LEAFS GO!!
I’m pretty sure in junior hockey refs are taught call: 1st period - 70% 2nd period - 40% 3rd period - 20% So they call progressively less as the game goes on as the game gets more intense to let them play.
Nathan Chung as a referee, I ref minor hockey. In important games such as championships in the 3rd period close game you call less. You don’t want the ref to take over the game.

I'm a Bruins fan, so take this with a grain of salt if you wish. But I think that Babcock pulled Freddy at a reasonable time, and the Leafs had possession. You can see that Johnsson passes the puck right before they show Freddy going to the bench, but he was already halfway there by then. That means Babcock called him off the ice when Johnsson had possession. The fact of the matter is that in hockey, possession can change any second.
All of the leafs penalty’s were gifts the high stick on dermott in the chest trip on gauthier slash on the shin pad and the delay of game landed in the bench
