I like the designs of the characters looking like they’re in Painful agony. Darwin was fully aware of what happened to him. And is technically still alive. Also this mix slaps

I think gumball let his hatred out for a little too long.
I still love alternate media takes of Triple Trouble after all this time. Let me review this with an incredibly long essay.
Darwin's section is *stellar*. Most TT mixes really nail the first victim and this is by a large margin no exception. You can feel the despair in his voice, and I especially love the whistling from 1:00 (but more noticeable at 1:20) onward, whether or not it's Darwin or part of the instrumental it adds a sort of yearning or hope to it, I feel. Perhaps Darwin is hopeful that BF will deal with the murderous, twisted form of his brother? Maybe he's just dwelling on his past, or his execution.
[Coming back Darwin's section after looking up info, I am REALLY astounded that the slide whistle had more thought put into it. Clarification: Darwin plays the slide whistle really well in The Triangle, which is also where Gumball/Torcaness' fiery monster design comes from. It's a great reference to an episode I admittedly never saw in full!]
Speaking of him, Gumball/Torcaness(is that his official name? I see that comment dub him Torcaness but idk) has the near-quintessential fiery design from The Triangle, and his first section, for however short the "mastermind" segments are in TT mixes, goes hard. I would say his voice is "generic", but honestly what else can you do? A deep, distorted voice works well, seeing as Xenophanes in the original TT worked fine.
Nicole and Anais were a surprise. I really didn't expect a duo in the *second* section, usually they happen in the third (see Misfire's Mario is Missing as a popular example), but they knock it out of the park. Your friend also did a FANTASTIC job on all of the art in this video, but especially with Nicole/Anais. Nicole is in such *agony*, holding her brutalized daughter, and the extra touches of flames, likely from Gumball/Torcaness, fit given Nicole's fiery temper. I guess the apple doesn't fall far from the tree? You have to wonder if maybe Nicole's fighting back somehow? Maybe she's trying her hardest despite basically having lost entirely at this point. Both voices are great, distinct enough to tell apart, some mixes/songs fail to really do that. Nicole doesn't sound entirely "like" her, but honestly that's fine. Some of the better scales of pre-existing characters are original sounding as opposed to being clear-as-day rips from dialogue. Also the "slower melody" section typical of the second victim in TT mixes is grade A here.
No real substantial notes for Gumball/Torcaness 2, aside from the typical "second sections always go hard" in most TT mixes. Goes hard here too!
Richard, I can't really from proper criticism for beyond damn, his voice and notes sound fine as hell. Distinct voice, you could easily tell it's him. And I love the motif at 5:37, I'm just now making note of its presence through the entire song, but Richard kills this bit.
Gumball/Torcaness 3... I'm actually not so sure on. Maybe it'll grow on me, but this section isn't *outstanding*. It has that desperation and "rush to the finish" vibe the final section of TT mixes have, but it's REALLY samey. Darwin's intrusion is also near impossible for me at least personally, to hear. I think he sings along with BF but honestly I CANNOT tell if he sings with G/T or not, definitively.
Rob coming in as a sort-of Four-Way Fracture Majin is sick! I always liked him as a character, and he definitely looks sick in his new "severely fucked up" appearance. I dig the eye. His voice and notes are also good, and they mesh well with G/T coming in soon after. You have to wonder how Rob feels about having to work alongside his nemesis...
For lack of a better term, "First Stage" Gumball is cool as hell. I LOVE that he takes his appearance from The Downer, again, compliments to your friend with the art! BF's design as a walking mic is also sick, I love BF getting redesigns that fit the universe he's inserted into. This finale sounds... really hard to describe in a good way. I don't feel calm, but it *is* somewhat a breath of air after the hell you're put through. The instrumental, especially how it slows down but then picks itself back up from 10:09 onward, has a very "wrong" tone to it. Like it's attempting to calm you down, but the composition just unsettles instead. Gumball's voice here also compliments this double-edged sword effect. He's slow, sings with BF together for most of it, and his a pretty calm voice, and yet there's that tiny bit of wrongness that he exudes. Something screams in your head for you to run away, but you can't, you have a song to finish. Also I wonder as to the "reason" for Gumball taking this form. Is he letting BF go, giving up after he successfully defended everything he threw at him? Is he doing a "goodbye, for now" thing, maybe telling BF that someday, he'll win and take him victim like the rest of his family?
Overall, this is a great cover of Triple Trouble, and it's clear a lot of thought and love was put into it. That being said, some parts need a little bit of polish. The instrumental sometimes drowns out the characters, most prevalent being in G/T's sections. The instrumental could also have a little more "oomph" put into it. I'm not musically inclined, so I can't really phrase it beyond that. Some parts could use a bit more embellishment. Like the transition between G/T 2 and Richard, there's very little impact to it. Look back to the original Triple Trouble. In all its transitions, it had this static effect as well as a percussion hit, coupled with a scream from the respective victim. That builds a sort of "here it comes" feeling, like you're expecting the next freakshow. It's not necessary, but it adds some flavor to the song. Back to more positive things, while I don't understand the leitmotifs considering I haven't watched TAWOG fully, they sound nice, like I said in Richard's segment. Again, World of Loneliness has MOUNTAINS of effort put into it, and it shows, really refreshing from some other TT mixes/songs in general lacking real heart and soul. Solid job to you and everyone who contributed to its creation!
