@@frankferrero5827 No, she did great. Ohh! You love her, and you need her. Nelly, you love her - you do! Neeeeed! No matter what you do, all you think about is her! Even when you're with your boo, you be going crazy over her! East coast, you know you wapping right.
@@GEMfanatica You have a crush on her. Feels like heaven when you see her (ahhhh)... watching her move and daaance! Feels like heaven when you're with her - oh oh oh ah oh ahh!!
As a white person that has studied ASL, I am always sad when somebody without a disability plays somebody with a disability. Although there are some exceptions. Daniel de Lewis in “My left foot” would have been a very hard casting for a skilled actor with cerebral palsy. I want to see more representation. There are great actors of all abilities, and it seems like it’s just easier for companies to cast able-bodied people in roles so they can have a 10 minute dream sequence of ablebodiedness somewhere in the run (I’m looking at you, Glee!) we have come so far as a society, and yet talented people are still overlooked because maybe they can’t perfectly hit the mark chalked on the floor. It seems like the only time I see a person with a genuine, visible disability on screen is when they are trying to be the “ don’t worry it gets better. My life is great.” Person for one episode. I really liked echo and not even though it was a show about gangs and violence that the native peoples represented were proud and normal people. I don’t know why I like it but in the TV show unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, the character of Jacqueline is passing as white but they show her parents and they are very normal native Americans. We need more normalization of difference. We can’t always just have the prettiest person in the room sit in a wheelchair And have it be representation. I can also tell who is actually skilled at signing and who has learned a little bit for a part. Sub Titles aren’t that hard.
The bitter irony of not captioning this video or making sure the interpreter was visible for deaf viewers is disappointing, yet unsurprising. Hearing people really don't give a damn.
I am watching Echo and I am conflicted with the critics...I think all the actors performed at their best specially the action scenes....The stunts were skillfully executed....I am not impressed by the script so far and I'm skeptical if the story depicts any accuracy of the Native Nation experience.....Other than that , Alaqua Cox displayed acting skills consistent with actors of a lot more experience....I look forward to see her again as an action hero in more constructive roles....There are plenty of opportunities to address a Native American acts of heroism.... We just need better writers....
always about highlighting representation and inclusivity, why not just focus on how great her acting ability is and congratulate her on a fantastic show, you know, like you would any other actor. Stop treating her like a walking tick box.
That would easy to do if it were true but her ''acting''? bad i mean you can't really call it acting. Fantastic show? were you drunk/Stoned/stupid or you just woke?
@frankferrero5827 bruh did you watch the show? Her being able to represent a character without dialogue and make it immersive is a great talent. I feel like you have not acted a day in your life.
@@frankferrero5827 Naolio, her acting is great. You don't know what she means to you! And it's more than yooouuu'll ever know! East coast, you know you're feeling right. Down south, you know you move it right. West coast, you know you happing right.
This is now my favorite Marvel show. I love black panther, but honestly. I love these shows. The pain and compassion and how it was narrated, it was just beautiful
Really tired of trying to check boxes and do representation. I’d rather it be a good show or a good movie or a good book without having to be about somebody being represented. And I write as a blind person.
Not crying just stating facts. MCU was over when Endgame came out,now its just a woke mess and losing money with every new movie or tv series they release. P.S: Oh and blow me you woketard.@@SpiderWireless
Real life the chipmunks movie? Yep,like Tarantino Kill Bill stuff, chubby chipmunk with chubby cheecks that checks all the diversity boxes that goes on a killing rampage because womah need no men. This actress only work in MCU & can't work in any movie because he deaf but its brilliant her acting is superb😊❤
