turn the flame down to blue flame after lighting, while aspirating de-ionised water, THEN you can test solutions with the window shut. You are not operating the machine properly at the moment, the window needs closing to avoid light pollution getting onto sensor.
light the flame using the ignition button, aspirate de-ionised water after lighting, reduce flame to blue flame settled on burner, do this by viewing the flame through the window, then turn down to see even blue cones on burner. shut the window, the window is only for viewing the flame on lighting. using with the window open can cause unnecessary light pollution and affect readings. Allow to settle for a few minutes before testing first sample. after testing sample make sure you insert tube back into de-ionised water. the video is showing incorrect running of the machine. i used to build these, now i service them for Cole Parmer.
