I’m a big believer in frogging projects that don’t fit right. Yarn and time is pricy and we have to enjoy wearing the items. I have heard her projects are great if you’re not picky about fit. I’m not that proficient yet with that much surgery. Glad you re knit it so you can love wearing it. The cables are so beautiful.
@@chebbiereadsandknits672 yes, agreed!! It’s painful, but worth it. I now know going forward to double check fit with her patterns and adjust my expectations.
I only work 1/4 times a week and don’t sleep well so I knit a lot. I’m crocheting temperature blankets for 2 grandchildren so I crochet on them in the 4 am- 8am hours and 7-10pm hours. I’m knitting the Farm Chore sweater that I have to pay attention to, so that and socks are my daytime projects. Im knitting socks for my son to wear in his wedding which makes my heart very happy. I started a “makers night “ at my local library so meet local makers. We are mostly knitters but there have been crocheters, puzzlers, painters, quilters attend also. It’s been fun.
I knit whenever I can! I especially like knitting in the morning during the winter. I am making the Dornie Sweater by Rebecca Clow and I am loving it. I had lots of time to work on it due to a snow storm, so it's gone by fast. Hope your back is on the mend.
Answer to your question. I was making a temperature blanket last year and I loved getting up in the morning, by myself and using that first ten minuts of the day and doing my daily addition to that. I kind of miss it now that it’s finished. Most of my knitting/crafting time is at night. But, I will squeeze in some extra whenever I could. Your cupcake socks turned out incredible and also your Musselburgh hat. Love the color of both. Grat idea to make a single layer for the hat.
Most of my knitting is done in the evenings and i can go for long hours when the house is quiet and the TV rumbling in the background. Weekends too but also that's mostly in the evenings. Late spring, Summer is a different story... knitting takes a large nose dive with rare cast ons and gardening is my creative outlet. Then autumn and fall get my needles clanking again.
I knit all the time because I'm retired but it's never enough. Lol. I listened to your dislike of duplicate stitch and catching floats. Same here. Check out ladderback jacquard. It's amazing a d eliminates catching floats! Great podcast!!
The majority of my knitting time is while my toddler is sleeping, so nap time and evenings. Although I'm also a big reader so sometimes I read instead 😊
@SavanKnits oh thats hard because I had such a good reading year last year, but The Windy City series by Liz Tomforde and the Memoirs of Lady Trent series by Marie Brennan were some of my top reads! What was yours?
I work outside the home and am gone about 11 hours each day. I try to knit in the evening but it only happens a few evenings. Most of my knitting happens Saturday and Sunday mornings before the rest of my house wakes up. I get up at 5am just to get a few hours to myself.
Knitting in the evening is best for me. Your WIP looks fabulous 😊

All day!
I am retired, so when I'm not hiking, playing the piano, or reading, I am knitting. So, a LOT. 🙂

I’m in that retired club and free to knit all day and night and often that is what I do. I have to force myself to stop, get up and move or go to bed.
