Great job Guys 👍 hard work pays off. I have been messing around with stone in my garden for years. I enjoy dry stacked...because you can change your mind easily and turn a firepit into flower beds and walls into waterfalls. I have tons of mixed stone because im a over the road trucker who gathers up what i can so the color and texture changes. One thing to any new mason.... Granite is a beautifully stone but a bastard to shape...hope you have dynamite.😉
Hi mate hope you all well you do a great job bossI am trying to build dry wall raise flowers bed quite large is 7x8 meter and about 2.5 foot high I wonder how much material needed and good one we based in Scotland any advice would be much appreciated many thanks
Thanks for watching! Dry stone is roughly 1 tonne of stone to 1 square metre. Your looking around 7 tonne of stone for roughly 7 square metres for your wall. Just make sure your getting dry stone walling stone as this will come mixed so you can use hearting etc 👍

Many thanks man really appreciate it
No worries mate!
Great work, but doesn’t dry stone walling mean no mortar?
The curved wall is dry stone & the cladding has mortar. Hence the title of the video 😉
Got it. I need to work on the terminology. Looking forward to more of your videos.
Thank you for watching! 👍
อย่างนี้ลูกพี่ระดับน้ำ
what is the composition and proportion of the binder
The mortar for the cladding is a 6/1 cement. 3 grit & 3 ginger sand 👍
and for masonry?
to bind rocks between them to build wall
It’s dry stone on the curve so nothing but stone and then the cement mix used on the cladding, that’s it.
what cement mix are you using on this wall
6/1
@@J.HarveyStonework a 6 / 1 sand to portland or type s cement
Yes just general purpose Portland
