Whilst Anette had some troubles with the more Operatic stuff, she still had a wonderful voice, and the versatility and voice acting she demonstrated throughout this album are wonderful. While Floor is the best of both worlds overall, there are a few tracks on this album that are just not the same without the inflection Anette provided. Front to back IMO, this stands with any Tarja era album. Yes, different style of singing, but doesn't matter. It's so good.

I honestly don't know about any Imaginaerum material, maybe wait for others to answer that. If you want demo material from 2009 for that solo album that she cancelled later, search for Invincible and Floating. Also her demo of Ever Dream that she sent to Tuomas in 2005 or 06 is around.

Imaginaerum does not ‘stand with any Tarja album’. In my view, for what it’s worth, Imaginaerum is THE Nightwish album, beating Tarja’s best, Once.

I think that on any Demo of any song, Anette's voice sounds better than on any final edit. Something of her always gets lost in the mixing.
There is no Troy on demo version, this is keyboards imitating pipes ;)
But they did. The melody which she sings in the demo isn't the same in the studio version. The one from studio version is three tones lower.
