In my opinion, Aj's challenge was a lot harder than Mr beast's version, since he was locked and his friends were annoying him and that in a way kept him entertained. Aj literally had no human contact the entire time and actually wasnt locked in the room so it hit him harder mentally since he could leave any time he wanted. Big up to both youtubers tho.

I think the biggest thing was actually MrBeast having a timer to see how long he had left. Not knowing if its day or night or how long its been must be so disorienting
VSauce probably had it even harder than AJ. Still massive respect for all 3 of ‘em.

it's really interesting to see how much control AJ needs to have. I know i would thrive in this type of environment. not having to worry about anything and I'm used to living in small spaces/ being in my room away from roomates etc. It's cool to see how different people react in a situation like this

The torture comes from the idea that there is no escape for people who are actually put in that scenario which causes the brain to start believing that it's over. What helped AJ push through was the ability to escape and the knowledge that the only thing keeping him there was himself. Respect tho cause it takes a level of mental strength not many have.

I wouldnt be able to do this for more than 10+ hours!!! Aj shabeel is the actual goat! I keep re watching this video yes it’s him stuck in a room but overall it’s still a very interesting video and a fascinating concept. In my opinion, better than Mr Beast’s and somehow more difficult? Since mr Beast had his friends communicating with him and trolling him so he had some sort of interaction throughout the experience but Aj had no one and absolutely nothing. 0 sound 0 sense of time or his surroundings, big W to this champ. No hate to my brother Jimmy tho. Loved this video! This concept is really brilliant i’d love to see Niko do this aswell 😭 i just know it’d be as good.

I’ve done this. When I was sent to Winnebago Mental Heath Institute, I had to spend a WEEK, In isolation from everyone and everything because I had tested positive for Covid, I was only there for that one week bc I had called my mother and begged her to bring me home and she called and got me out, I was only allowed to have contact with anyone for less than a minute since it was only for them to hand me my food thru the door slot, and when I was done I just put it back out the door and later when I was sleeping they would come take it. Honestly, the isolation made me really self aware and it really freaked me out.

AJ knowing he’s there for max 50 hours kind of takes away from the time disassociation that comes with the “torture method”. Which is a very big factor in messing up the minds of people who get to be in this position.

I've been in prison for the past 14 years. Been in solitary for the first 32 months of this sentence I'm serving. Unfortunately it effects some people in a horrible way. People develope all types of psychological disorders. Stay out of trouble... Stay safe
Would you consider 50 hrs. like this to be easy from what you've experienced?
@@mountainof7 imma say yes now it is. At first it was rough but one thing u have to have here is patience. Patience with staff and patience with other people in this predicament. For a person who hasn't done time 50 hours is definitely a lot
32 months is rough! I did “only” 30 days in solitary and i totally agree with your statement! First few days were kinda easy since it takes a while to acknowledge where you really are, then it hits like running against a brick wall and that’s when the mind starts playing games. Hope you’ll find your way and that you’ll never be back in the future, it is possible! Take care and all the best.
@@Violence4fun fortunately I've been utilizing my time wisely. I came in at 25yrs old and now at 40, I've accomplished more than people would imagine. Of course I hit some snags and bumps on this road but tbh this place has effected my mind and heart immensely. Unfortunately I'm numb to violence and Gore because it's a constant cycle in my chaotic environment. I've been in the middle of riots, stabbings and I've defused plenty of situations that could've became fatal. I've looked into people's eyes and literally watched the light leave their bodies before they die from a stabbing or an altercation. If you reading this and u think u thuggin or gang banging.... Just stop and renew your mind. This place plays serious tricks on ya mind. Stay blessed everyone.
