How can a video like this have such low Likes!!?? Gahdamn it helped me A LOT to draw wheels, i was a entire week struggling try to draw'em and saw this video my brain just went like "BOOOOM" now, they still a bit wacky but way better than before! TYSM!!
I'm glad you found this video! I'll be posting more content like this on my other channel "Sharay Design". Hope to see you there! Let me know if there are specific topics you'd like me to cover. Happy to help where I can.
Im a 55 year old novice who was embarrisingly bad at art n drawing at school envious of the cool lad in class who was a natural at drawing football and a hit with the girls..thought would have another stab at it during these long covid winter times.. would love to be able to draw a cool motorbike for 12 year old grandson..would appreciate a longer tutorial without time lapse that i could follow.. cheeky i know... seen a few bike sketches on utube think yours are one of the coolest 😃👍
Thanks for the reply Tyler ..great..he has a little motocross bike so i guess something along those lines he will relate to as there are endless styles and models maybe something like this images.app.goo.gl/C1QbB6BF9QYXEewC8 or along those lines of a motocross scrambler
I posted a full sketch video on my other channel ( I think I'm going to post all art content there moving forwards). th-cam.com/video/jX4eYXZQ6hs/w-d-xo.html Hope it's useful!
That’s a good question. The minor axis will go to the horizon (assuming the vehicle is on a level surface). When drawing from life I think it will just take experience/volume of sketches to develop your mind and eye to see if your elipse is correct. You could take a photo of the car that you’re drawing from life and print out a copy of the photo, then use an elipse guide to measure the elipse in the printed photo. It won’t be a “real-time” measurement, but this is one way to begin training your mind and eye to see and draw the correct elipse. I’ll do some more research on perspective techniques as well. If I find a real-time measuring method I’ll post it on my other channel, Sharay Design. ✌️
Thanks for considering the request, but you have directly avoided the square box as framework for ellipse. As a beginner, it would be really helpful for us

Happy to create a tutorial without the time lapse! Is there a specific bike you'd like to see? Thanks for tuning in :)

Very helpful, thank you so much!
This is Exactly what I needed❤
Glad the video was helpful 👌
So how does it work when I draw from life ? How can I measure this minor axes and so other ( does it go to horizontline ?)

Amazing,very nice😉😉
Thanks for tuning in!
Thank you for teaching this! it's a bit hard to go from the basic ellipse to the end, adding the thickness, the hub etc
Wheels are definitely challenging! Another video is coming soon that might be helpful. Thanks for tuning in!
How very Scott Robertson;)

Doh! Sorry Karthik. I'll make a video specifically for the box as framework for the ellipse.
