Aisha Ali sian’s nickname was daebak when he was younger, and that’s the name most people know him by. but his real name is sian and he wants to be called by that name so he corrects people when they call him daebak lol
Korean couples tend to give their kids nicknames while in the womb and they choose funny names like "daebak" which means awesome. They chose that nickname for him and it stuck when they first started the show but now that he is older he himself told his dad he likes his real name better and they made a whole episode of Sian telling people his name isn't daebak anymore

My country blurred out cigarettes and alcohol because they aren't good for your health. Oh~ bloody gory scene were also blurred. There are some more censorship but I won't list it out. I like the fact that Jane's parents are really reinforcing her Korean. I know that they live in Korea and star on a Korean TV program so I, of course, understand why Sam would stick to Korean haha It just seems like William never seems to understand/acknowledge what Sam says when he occasionally does speak in English (which may just be bc William is so young but recently William has been responding to what Sam says in Korean quite well? So it seems like more of a lack of English knowledge thing.) They, of course, have all the time in the world so this is less of a complaint and more of an observation. Having all of the foreign dad's there just really kind of hit home that Sam doesn't seem to communicate in his mother tongue to his child as much as the other dad's do-tho again this is probably a circumstantial decision since Sam works in the entertainment business and NEEDS to know how to communicate in Korean lol. I honestly think it's kinda rude that his dad is tricking him into eating eel, when his values and ethics tell him it's wrong. Sungjae just wants all living creatures to live and be happy!
