yea,I love jokes too..and I think that the best joke is told by JLS when they put 1D down..JLS sang like "omg, what a waist of time..let's show this guys how a really good boy band works" and they really showed them...and they 1D came and they didn't actually sing..they low tones sound like they are talking,and their high notes is very painful to watch..they can't handle it.. there's nothing obvious that 1D is better than JLS, like you said..
but they are the only thing that jls does that 1D doesn't is dancing, and if we talk about vocals oh please, jls is nothing against 1D, 1D's voices are beautiful, you can't almost notice if its live or the recording !
