Hey folks, I know this is a really long video, it's acually the longest video I've ever released, but most of my videos for now on will be over one hour long....I do not like editing multi part videos for one trip, so if its longer than you prefer, I apologize and suggest you just watch it in several manageable parts. I'm currently editing an 80 mile michigan backpacking trip, and then after that one will be the grandaddy of them all for 2024, a 351 mile thru-hike of the Pinhoti Trail over a 15 day period in the Alabama and Georgia mountains...I can't wait to share these with you all! Let me know how you feel about the longer format of videos, thanks and Merry Christmas everyone!
New subscriber here! What city about did your stop and end in? I've been wanting to do a 3 day kayaking and hammock camping trip, so this is pretty rad.
@jasonwish- I enjoy them all. I'm halfway through this one and it's been great. Gets me through the work day and winter until it's time to have my own adventures. Appreciate the content, keep it up and I like that you've made the videos longer.
I did a solo run the same section of the River in September of 2017. A lot has changed since then. It just so happens that my son and I were kayaking the Big Manistee the same time you were on the PM. Our run was 9-13/9-16 we started at Mesick M37 and ended at Lake Michigan on Monday. Next year maybe we all can coordinate and paddle together. Anyhow another great paddle adventure you have shared with us and we always look forward to your videos. ✌🏼🇺🇸🛶

You captured a kingfisher (type of bird) chattering. They’re a treat while enjoying nature!
Can listen starting at 1:08:05
so that's what that is!! I hear those all the time when I'm kayaking, thanks for letting me know!
@ lol! If I ever see you out hiking, I’ll holler out “Hey Jason! I’m the kingfisher gal!”
🤣🤣🤣
Great Michigan kayak video Jason. What an awesome trip! Nice to see a warm day when we have below zero windchills. Thanks again and Merry Christmas

It was great time to be on a Michigan river that's for sure! Hoping to paddle the Pigeon and/or Platte Rivers next year!
