Yup, it's a great show. The only downside of watching on a boat is that when the wind is out of the North (as it kind of was this year), the smoke plume during the show blocks some of the view. As long as I've got the range, I can move a drone around to whatever side is upwind.
Hello, this is an interesting video that starts with gorgeous fireworks. The images of the fireworks and the night view starting from the show time were wonderful with good angles and good flight routes. Thank you for your inspiring video.

When it came to final edits there wasn't room for it, but until I knew that for sure I kept thinking that including it would be a nice nod to your videos.

My pleasure. I've never used TH-cam Studio's editor for posted videos, but I think it's got the ability to pare out the unwanted section and leave everything else intact with just a few seconds' work.

I actually had both the Classic and Cine shooting the show, with the Classic swinging along the North side (probably 76% of the footage is from that drone) and with the Cine on the East side. I agree about the reflections. I've watched the 4th of July show every year they've had it, but never from Gas Works, and now realize a lot of their low-altitude fireworks are designed to show off to that audience in both the air and by reflection.

You probably couldn’t tell a difference but only you would know right? I know how you feel, though I hate when I get in that type of position.
Hi John I just wanted to let you know that I posted a new video I hadn't posted a video in 2 and a half months I fell back in early January and hit my head and ended up with a Concussion my Balance was all screwed up and get dizzy really easy and get headaches very easy that is why I have not posted anything in awhile. Hope all is good with you looking forward to when you post more of your Great Videos.🙂

Recording a live audio track wasn't an option. With a major freeway adjacent to the show plus the ambient noise of the crowds surrounding the show, the noise floor would have swamped the fireworks explosions, so I created each percussion sound in Audition and placed them in the video track to sync with each visible explosive flash.
