Do this when tying your next hellgrammite. Let me introduce you to Helgi, the Hellgrammite.
Hellgrammites, or toe-biters, are the larvae of the eastern dobsonflies (Order Megaloptera, Family Corydalinae). They are aquatic, somewhat flattened, and usually some shade of dark brown, tan, or black. The head is equipped with a pair of large, sharp pincers that can deliver a painful bite.
Many species of fish love them, particularly smallmouth bass.
