I feel like this 9x9 has just the right amount of magnets. Any more magnets and it'd be too heavy and any less magnets it'll make them pointless. So I'm honestly fine with the layers being just a tad less magnetic than what I'm used to. I feel like if there where anything higher than a 9x9 the magnets would start to get useless.
(And yeah I'd rather have it factory magnetized because there's magnet polarities you have to worry about and I feel like I'd mess a few up. Or something.)

Honestly, I think that both the Galaxy 8x8 and 9x9 have too much packaging. It would've been fine if it just came in the plastic case that's hidden underneath the foam. Jperm would not like the excess packaging.

All cubes should be magnetized. I have an 8x8 and a 12x12 which I magnetized myself, and I’d rather get them magnetic from the factory. It’s so much hassle with the big cubes, and the magnets are often weaker than rated, so it’s additional work on the proper layout. It’s definitely not as easy as magnetizing a 3x3.
