رەمزان كۈيلىرى، قۇمۇلدا رەمزان Uyghur Ramadan Custom, Uighur, الايغور رمضان, ラマダン, ujgurský ramadán

Like other Muslims around the world, Uyghurs practice Islam according to the Holy Quran. During the Fasting Ramadan Month, Uyghurs used to mainly collect zakat, sometimes encourage those who were reluctant to fast in unique ways. Since the Uyghurs are rich in music, some Uyghur local music performers created their own unique style for collecting zakat and waking up those who are not devout. A few pieces of those unique styles of music & religion & culture mixed performances have been passed from generation to generation. Among them, Qumul Ramadan or Qumul Ramzan Naxshisi, is one of the popular ones. In this context, some devout Uyghur Muslims try to wake up a rich couple and ask them for zakat (some food, Uyghur bread or Nan, or other things in return ). By doing this, the performers feel grateful if those people give zakat, wake up & fast, and the people who were waken up by those performers, feel obliged to give the performers some food in return and feel peace, religiously satisfied.
