Why are those people humiliating the guards - it’s pretty sinister and disturbing to watch. We have noticed that it is the same genre of people that do this time and time again! Organised bullying. The guards should not be subjected to this on a daily basis.
Yesterday I watched a video with 5 or 6 young ladies in long skirts who were screaming everytime the poor guard did anything. It was weird. I wondered if they were part of a larger group.
They think they are Superior to others. Even their own people they are a sect.

It was a ‘Police wellbeing dog’. I think they are employed in working with police officers who have experienced trauma, high stress or a major incident in the course of their jobs. They are also called OK9 dogs.

The ‘groups’ seem to be oblivious to showing any respect. If we all stood and pointed at them mimicking them or even pulling their two long hair things we would be berated for being antisemitic. It beggars belief they have to be schooled about the Guards who released those poor Jewish prisoners of war in WWII. I wish there was some sort of brief leaflet explaining to them. USA here and I totally agree. I have come to feel very protective of horse guards thanks in part for John and his pithy commentary.
It would be good if this group, collectively, could be banned from Horseguards but that would leave MOD open to accusations of sectarianism/racism. MOD should speak to the elders in London. These people, when visiting elsewhere as tourists usually stay with the local community.
I also notice that often we see the same 2 or 3 faces within these groups who do encourage their companions to make fun if military personnel. Maybe those same faces, as individuals could be banned just as the obnoxious karen was last year.😊
This group has been reminded repeatedly by plods and vloggers that this regiment was the first to arrive, liberate and help the survivors of Belsen. Whenever they are told so they suddenly 'have to go '. Almost put todays entitled karens look like amateurs .

He's stunning!! Q-10 is just amazingly stunning!! For a crossover lend from Life Guards, if that female trooper was to get on him, she would need to use a mounting block for sure!! With Q-10 being 18 hh 2 inches, I'm sure most of the Troopers need to use a mounting block to get on him. There are only a few people I know who would be able to mount Q10 from the ground only. A fence or any form of barrier would be potentially dangerous to the horses , it's never going to happen ! Did Q 10 look stressed , he was loving the attention !

Ear bonnets protect the horses against sounds if the horse is easily distracted by noise it helps to muffle the sound. In the summertime you will see horses with similar but net this is a fly veil to protect from flies . The bonnets are also useful if the horse has over sensitive hearing ,one of ours does when shes exercised on the lanes she wears one xx

John we measure horses from their withers, that’s the area about where the troopers hand is, the bottom of its neck. 👍
Horses are measured using a Tbar measuring stick from the wither to the ground, minus 1/4 inch for shoes when measured.

The things you were calling ear warmers are actually to muffle sounds, if the horse is a bit sensitive to noise.
The ear covers are for sound sensitive horses. They can also have ear plugs within them. It is to soften outside sounds for the horse
Shame on them. They weren’t ridiculing and laughing at these brave and compassionate men when they showed up to rescue them from the prison camps! They owe respect and humility not laughter and ridicule

It’s possible if it’s getting near the end of the shift that the horse was getting impatient for the change and wanted to go back in the barn. So he let it be known he was ready to leave! But the rider did an excellent job of bringing him back into place

The fluffy things in the horses' ears aren't for keeping their ears warm 😄 they are deafners used to block out noise, which helps to keep the horse calm

There's several reasons for the ear covering, warmth, since it is a dapple, the hair could be light enough to cause discomfort in the sun and it's used for sunblock, mostly it's from flies. The horse could have a small skinned place or a sore and flies were driving him crazy., or the flies just seemed to bother him/her the most.etc. etc.

I think the ear protectors stop the wind from bothering the horses ears. Some are sensitive to it.

Recent events say it all! The U.K. is defending your Country, have RESPECT!
The horse may likely be a Friesian, they are big and has had the foot feathering at the hooves shaved to conform with the look of the group. They also never have white on them. It seems comfortable in the crowd, it point it's ears forward and is interested in people. The ear bonnet on the dapple grey was probably to block out some traffic noise to keep it calm. I'm wondering if the helicopter noise was upsetting the horse. The big horse panicked a bit because the other was upset, one horse can set off the whole heard.
