Also, don't forget his performance in Save Me... I first saw him in Vincenzo, so seeing him later in the non-villanous roles was a lot to get accustomed to XD
JYP definitely saw something in the 6 guys when he put them into the same group. They click together well as a group but give each other space to be individuals while supporting one another. All of them are really down to earth and realistic when it comes to staying in the industry. They don't care that much of chasing after trends or music chart positions but instead they go for projects that suits them and make music that they like.
He was so underrated I can see that JYP doesn't like to be overshadowed by his male artists that's Why he been sticking his nose in every 2pm performance and got7 ... Twice
Yeah he's got such a cool (and definitely wise) personality that welcomes any challenges in his life and this is what I really love about him and causes me respect him even more and more 😍he's amazing
i bet he's the type that'll definitely not go easy in that dance battle against his nephews, i can already see a small girl throw a ball at him for winning
Funnily enough, in a variety program he called himself the uncle when asked what his role would be if 2PM was a family unit. Khun was the patriarch while Chansung was the family pet 😂
I found Taecyeon through Vincenzo and he was SO good that I kind of just fell down a Taec/2PM rabbit hole and I haven't looked back since. They're such a great group, truly ahead of their time with their bops and Taec's as well as Junho's acting is so fun to watch. I really hope he gets cast in more international shows/movies, he's so talented and deserves the world 🥹🥹🥹
They are one if those groups who don't need to always post stuff about ot6 but everyone knows they are close, even those who work with them in their solo activities. They are brothers-from-another-mother.
I don’t think Taec realizes the international sensation they had and still do because they were the first “manly” and “beastly” idols that really generated a whole era of the tough idol image. Till this day, a lot of the strong and tough boy themes we see in our idol groups very much resemble what 2PM did whether groups do it intentionally or not.
@@dirys24 I love tvxq but lets be honest they were moreso the first popular sensual group and not the tough bad boy. Beastly as in manly and muscular was definitely 2pm. Same here... And lived for 10 years in US, and speak very well English, he is very a friendly personality and nice when he travels and talk willingly with people. His voice and acting is very perfectly played in Vincenzo... Love it

Thanks for having Taecyeon on the show, always great to hear his English! My heart melted at the 2PM members' desire to protect the 2PM name. Not all groups are bonded the way they are, and that's why I love 2PM so much
It’s so nice to hear that he has good memories of his trainee years. He sounds happy talking about it and the fact his parents were so chill with it😂my parents could never

Thank you for getting Taecyeon on this show. So nice to hear him talking in a relaxed chilled way. i personally love hearing the interviews with 2nd generation idols
Taecyeon talking about the process of how he ended up joining the JYP audition... I think it's really nice how his family is so supportive of him. It sounds like he has such a loving family that encourages him to try things out which is how he's able to be how he is now 😀
Taecyon deserves all of his success because he is one of the rare humble guys in the industry. He is just chill and enjoyed his work. Its true that luck and fortune will chase those who are very hard working, humble, kind and wise. I hope he stays that way. I will always support him. And I just love him as the crazy vampire in Hearbeat. ❤
That was it!! "Heartbeat." I thought Taecyeon was a superb actor; was so natural. Then I learned he started in modeling via a NYC audition!! I think he has that personality in real life; (probably excellent parenting) comfortable in his own skin, genuine. And like the best in the business, figured "natural" worked in acting. And there you have it; a trained Korean actor probably debuting in some American series or movie; maybe one day standing up in an audience of his peers graciously accepting his first Golden Globe or Emmy or Oscar. Good Luck. Hope I'm around for it.

his role in Vincenzo changed my life we got to see he's such an amazing actor he literally played two roles in one and he was so amazing in both, I just loved it
Never in my whole life knew that taecyeon can speak english as if it's his first language.. omgoshhh m so shocked😱 he's so good at this woww I'm so impressed👍
This totally changed my view on Taec; he’s totally the opposite of what I thought…he seemed so serious and he’s actually very chill and easy-going. He should know that he unintentionally gave some good advice and I learned a lot from this episode. I like how unafraid he is at taking on new things and humble he is at admitting he might not do well yet still giving it a try👏🏼 it’s no surprise things work out for him well since he’s got a good mindset. Wish him and all 2pm the best…happy 2024!🙌🏻🥂🍻
he is so chill while telling his career but looking at what he has been now, we dont wonder how persistent and hardworking he is. he is so determined for every single of works.
2PM will always have a special place in my heart ❤. I was following kpop a little before they debuted so it's a joy to see the idols I grew up with on here.
I’m so glad that I joined the korean wave during that era in the days that 2PM and all those awesome groups mentioned were all in their prime although I was always a huge BigBang VIP, I loved following all those great groups in the early 2000s, I really fell for Taecyeon, his personality and humbleness, he was very respectful towards others not to mention how funny he is, I pretty much watched every show he appeared on. It’s so nice and refreshing to see he hasn’t changed one bit, I was pleasantly surprised to see Taec on the show💜
I love how Eric and Taecyeon talked about dial up internet and Eric casually mentioning "I know we 19 forever but--" then Taecyeon replying with "Aww this is very sad" *bro I felt that* 😂 @7:37
I noticed that all of us experienced the same pain in the 2000 year’s doesn’t matter where we are from. I’m from Brazil and I lived the same Internet plot that he said. 😂😂
Same here from Germany. Me shouting from the cellar infront of the family computer "mum can you get off the phone? I have to look for a song lyrics to print" 😂
Taecyeon was my first ever Kpop bias. This is very nostalgic to me. I suddenly remembered how much effort it took to be a fangirl in the late 2000s. lmao but 2PM and Taec was all worth it. Still love them so much.
The way Taec talks about keeping up with how music is made now and how they want to protect 2PM is so on point. I think I’d be happy with them just being able to go on tour with their old songs if possible one day!
This was an amazing interview. Tacyeon is so likeable and funny and really loved the interaction between him and Eric. They were both so relaxed and relatable.
people forgot taecyeon speaks english because there hasn't been a lot of him & english content in awhile!! so thank you for having him on the show!! very enjoyable 🥰🥰 ALSO i wish taecyeon lots of love to break into the western market!! would be so cool to see taecyeon more often ☺️ like the xo kitty cameo!! 😌
Heard he signed with an international agency. Since vincenzo i`m head over heels for this man, he`s an amazing actor, and seem to be a good guy as well. I`m very much rooting for him to get even bigger roles and break thru in Hollywood. God bless you.
When he was talking about TVXQ and Miriotic, i teared up 😢 it was a great era for cassies. I miss them a lot. I did fall in love with 2pm and snsd too so I was still a happy kpop fan. (And it makes me happy seeing Junho and Yoona in the same drama) I miss the second the generation so much
It's so surreal now seeing Taec casually mentioning all the other 2nd Gens groups cause before it was even hard to hear them talk about other groups as much. I forgot how big they were back then and a lot of them are still super humble now.
Ive been coming back here a lot to rewatch this ever so often, like i need to see them interact more, I am praying to Gods to see another episode with Taecyeon, or maybe next time an episode with both Nickhun and Taecyeon cause i reaaaally enjoyed this so freaking much
I can never forget Taecyeon's line in VC ... That "Mafia bastard"... I started supporting him from Vinzenco. His villainess aura made me fall in love. Yaaaaa 😍❤
Heartbeat is such a fun and heartwarming show. I know he is a great actor, performer, so versatile! He seems so down to earth, i will definitely have become a fan and wish him nothing but the best. ❤
This interview made me realise how 1st and 2nd generation were more older /grown up when they debut...While 3rd generation were so young and 4th is even younger, like Seventeen's Dino was 16 and Enhypen's Nikki was 14... And now there are even younger... It's scary how they didn't have time to grow up, room to make mistakes and learn and are exposed to everyone who judges them and all... I love Taecyeon's attitude, so positive and bright and so open... It's first interview that I am watching of his but huge fan of his dramas, and currently watching heartbeat. And I agree, after blind, heartbeat is like a fresh cool air after a summer heated sun...
@@JewelryB I got into Kpop in 2016, but tell me were they exception or the rule? Were these "tons of idols" the rule or the exception? Because now it is a rule, now the younger the better, now a Taecyeon wouldn't be given the time to get into college, experience real life before debuting. Now some of them barely would get the time to pass middle/high school before their debut. Now anyone over 23-25 would be told to not dream about ever debuting because they are past their prime time... Of course there are exceptions in every Gen but the general rule has changed and there should be no denial to it that the more time passes, the more the more they aren't given the opportunity to grow up like a normal kid because the industry has changed and they want fresh, young and all-round idols they can shape into certain curated personality that's in demand of the market, they now are products... This comment wasn't meant to provoke, it was an opinion many of us had, think about when we see younger and younger children debuting knowing how difficult the training is and how tougher the environment is in companies... One can't help but wonder how much pressure and difficulties they were put in such a young age and how they have to grow a thick skin and learn to handle some many things before even reaching adulthood... The thought behind the comment was one of compassion, not competition between the Gen...
I'm not sure whether to agree or disagree with your first statement....1st and 2nd gen were older but not that much older either. 1st gen: H.O.T, NRG, S.E.S and Fly to the Sky's maknaes turned 16 just before their debuts and these are just the ones who were very well-known and popular back then. All members were teenagers in international age. Shinhwa, Fin.KL and SechsKies are other well-known groups in which all members were teens at debut (aged 17 to 19). g.o.d was the rare one where their maknae was 18 and the 3 oldest members were in their 20s (well Joon was forced to lie about his age and the guy was 30 at debut). 2nd gen: DBSK ot5 debuted with maknae Changmin at age 15 while the oldest members were 17. Shinee's oldest hadn't even turned 19 and their maknae hadn't turned 15 yet. Big Bang's maknae hadn't turned 16 yet and their oldest was 18. SuJu (pre Kyuhyun), 2PM, Beast/Highlight were the few where everyone was 18 and above at debut and their oldest member(s) were aged 20 or above.
I love the interaction between Eric and Taecyeon, especially how they could relate to each other about the limited use of internet during the old days. I've been a huge fan of TVXQ since 2005, love 2pm in 2010, and kpop during that era was the best time. 2005-2014 was like the best time, at least in my opinion. I was so surprised to see Taecyeon's acting in Cinderella's Man and since then, I've been keeping up with all his drama.
@dirys24 Kdrama was pretty lit back then, and sadly, no. I rarely watch Korean drama nowadays unless it's my favorite actors/actresses, or the storyline is great.
THANK YOU ERIC NAM. Daebak show is always bringing the best guests on. Taec is THE beast idol and he's accomplished so much. We love seeing him enjoying his time and being himself. This is my FAVORITE interview to date 🔥💜
I didn't realize that series was so new when I watched it on Prime. I loved it, so much fun! Taecyeon is an excellent actor. There was a time when US TV shows were 22-24 episodes/season. I miss those days. But also, US shows don't always know when to end.
This is one of the hottest and most suave interview. Not coz he's from 2PM but coz he looks comfy as he is and Eric Nam, as always, knows how to make everything comfy.
He was incredible in vincenzo! And he seems so pleasant and easy-going (and handsome). Also, there's so many idols I didn't know that speak english or lived abroad lol
Taecyeon is good story teller. He is quite cool! I like how he sets boundaries on staying away from the stereotypes Asian roles. We need people like him for Asian representation 👍
Yes !!! Thank you guys a lot, especially you, Eric. Have heard again for quite a lot of gen 2, include Cabi song and the video trip the video of Taecyeon to Haiphong City in my country more than 6 years ago. Still remember and always a part in my teenager years.
It was fun to listen Teacyeon's talking about TVXQ. People seem forget it these days but TVXQ as 5 was REALLY huge. And the era they are talking about was their peak. It's still so unfortunate that they had to split at their peak. They could be even huger if the things didn't happen.
Happy to have Taecyeon show up on my radar and will be checking out his new drama and Vincenzo. Love it when Eric has these kinds of fun Daebak Show with the Konglish.
Hanseok was his only villain role .😉 altho we think he's done many villain roles that's bc he nailed it, actually he's done many positive roles already I recommend u to watch "BLIND" "the game towards zero" and " bring it on ghost " 😉💚 He's led many other shows too

Need to add, I went to a 2pm concert in 2015 and they did amazing! Wish they had toured the states in celebration of their 15th anniversary too.
he is so chill while telling his career but looking at what he has been now, we dont wonder how persistent and hardworking he is. he is so determined for every single of works.
I just finished blind and i love his character and his acting
Taec seems like such a chill and grounded dude. Love love love him since Vincenzo. And now Heartbeat.
2PM will always have a special place in my heart ❤. I was following kpop a little before they debuted so it's a joy to see the idols I grew up with on here.
As a 40 year old, I totally understood the internet convo 😂
As a 28 year old, and fellow younger millennial agree 😂😂😂
Yup, it gave me flashbacks to my Return to Castle Wolfstein days on dial-up.
As a 26 year old person I also understood that convo & thats how I know that I am actually old 😂
I’m 30 and I completely relate to this 🥲 such good memories 🥰
And I’m still on dsl…..sigh
I love how he starts off a bit awkward in his English and then gradually as the interview goes on his fluency returns. So cute😢
This guy is so so much fun like watching him talk, smile, his stories aahhhh so refreshing 😭😭🤌🤌
It’s so nice and refreshing to see he hasn’t changed one bit, I was pleasantly surprised to see Taec on the show💜
I love how Eric and Taecyeon talked about dial up internet and Eric casually mentioning "I know we 19 forever but--" then Taecyeon replying with "Aww this is very sad" *bro I felt that* 😂 @7:37
Same xD AOL word is a time travel machine for me xD
I noticed that all of us experienced the same pain in the 2000 year’s doesn’t matter where we are from. I’m from Brazil and I lived the same Internet plot that he said. 😂😂
Same here from Germany. Me shouting from the cellar infront of the family computer "mum can you get off the phone? I have to look for a song lyrics to print" 😂
I believe the golden years of kpop were 2008-2010.
It's actually 2008-2012 💛
@@annejia5382truee
True those days were ours
Soo true
Indeed..because for me it was not the same since 2011 (where db5k stopped being 5)
Taec talking English without trolling us is a rare occasion, love you sm 😂💚
Taecyeon was my first ever Kpop bias. This is very nostalgic to me. I suddenly remembered how much effort it took to be a fangirl in the late 2000s. lmao but 2PM and Taec was all worth it. Still love them so much.
this is the first time I heard TAECYEON speaks english and it's sounds reaaalllllyyyyyyyyyyy good. Lets do another english podcast !!
They were both so relaxed and relatable.
people forgot taecyeon speaks english because there hasn't been a lot of him & english content in awhile!! so thank you for having him on the show!! very enjoyable 🥰🥰
ALSO i wish taecyeon lots of love to break into the western market!! would be so cool to see taecyeon more often ☺️ like the xo kitty cameo!! 😌
Heard he signed with an international agency. Since vincenzo i`m head over heels for this man, he`s an amazing actor, and seem to be a good guy as well. I`m very much rooting for him to get even bigger roles and break thru in Hollywood. God bless you.
What a lovely smile he has. Have been listening to alot of 2 PM this year. Also starting watching Heartbeat due to this interview. Very cute.
When he was talking about TVXQ and Miriotic, i teared up 😢 it was a great era for cassies. I miss them a lot.
I did fall in love with 2pm and snsd too so I was still a happy kpop fan. (And it makes me happy seeing Junho and Yoona in the same drama)
I miss the second the generation so much
It's so surreal now seeing Taec casually mentioning all the other 2nd Gens groups cause before it was even hard to hear them talk about other groups as much. I forgot how big they were back then and a lot of them are still super humble now.
Ive been coming back here a lot to rewatch this ever so often, like i need to see them interact more, I am praying to Gods to see another episode with Taecyeon, or maybe next time an episode with both Nickhun and Taecyeon cause i reaaaally enjoyed this so freaking much
Same 😭
@@KT-ls2sv One day we will get another episode of Daebak show with Taecyeon, I believe🙏
I can never forget Taecyeon's line in VC ... That "Mafia bastard"... I started supporting him from Vinzenco. His villainess aura made me fall in love. Yaaaaa 😍❤
Taecyeon is one of the best actor in Korean industry, very fluent in English and so down to earth
I love the way how Taecyeon described a relation between 2PM , We were like a family and close to each others .
It shows 2PM really means family ❤️
Taecyeon is such a versatile actor and I'm loving Heartbeat!
The Oppa of all Oppas, i love how he is always himself
I just think everything he does is beautiful in every way
I need more content from Taecyeon.. He is so much fun, that fine man really wins the heartbeat 😘
I was amazed by Taecyeon with his duality in "Vincenzo" and I'm planning to watch more series with him in it.
Definitely watch Blind, that was such a great kdrama. or Save me if you by any Chance havent seen that
@@freezi1956 I'll be sure to keep an eye out for those. Thank you!
Taecyon's voice is music to the ears
Watched Cinderella Sister after this podcast. Unbelievable performance. Can't believe it's Taecyeon's first drama.. he was born to be a star..
2005 damnnnnn i was born that year. kdramas were also lit back then. have you seen my name is kim samsoon/ my lovely samsoon?
@dirys24 Kdrama was pretty lit back then, and sadly, no. I rarely watch Korean drama nowadays unless it's my favorite actors/actresses, or the storyline is great.
THANK YOU ERIC NAM. Daebak show is always bringing the best guests on. Taec is THE beast idol and he's accomplished so much. We love seeing him enjoying his time and being himself. This is my FAVORITE interview to date 🔥💜
Taecyeon is so talented.. I'm a fan of his mischievous eyes and smile ❤
lol taecyeon approaching gold gala like he a child at costco getting all the free sample 😂😂 excited to see him in another drama and love his energy ❤
my face hurts from smiling and laughing so much!!! ahhhh it was such a good episode!!!!! FIGHTING!!!!!!
Taecyeon was my first kpop crush back in 2016 and I dont think I'll ever get over it haha nice to see him on the show 😊
Taecyeon is good story teller.
Still remember and always a part in my teenager years.
taecyeon’s voice is so nice to listen to
My 2nd gen heart ❤ imagine if taec & khun came on together… I’m sure we’d hear more abt their chaotic trainee days. 😂
Ohh yes!! I was waiting for this since Nichkhun’s episode!!! 💚💚💚👏👏👏👏
I have known him since dream high literally one of the first kdrama i watched
He's really a lovely person and handsome actor
The duo I never thought I needed to see together...and now that they are... the internet has been blessed!!!!!
I've been a fan since 2PM's debut, so proud to see how far Taecyeon's has come! Bravo!
Y'all have such great chemistry! We need another episode with Taecyeon and Eric playing drinking games.
He is one of the best korean actor. The way he played Babel CEO 😍my god !! He should play hero as well as villain roles too . He is just too good
Hanseok was his only villain role .😉 altho we think he's done many villain roles that's bc he nailed it, actually he's done many positive roles already
I recommend u to watch "BLIND" "the game towards zero" and " bring it on ghost " 😉💚
He's led many other shows too
