Well, actualization: i have mi ignis, its a great car. It has some leaks below the motor but im working on it. Its super cheap to find pieces, it's not that great in fuel economy but not that bad like those chinese cars the people drive around here. I changed the oil and filters and its fine. Has a great interior, nothing broken not even the seats. I regret nothing, and its exterior is iconic. I recognize it by just looking at it i love it. I was thinking in making a video, but the university takes me lot of time so that has to wait for now.
Man, im about to buy one of these models. 190.000 km in the odo and is in espectacular shape. I fell in love at first sight, i saw it like 6 hours ago and tomorrow gonna pay for it. Wish me luck and goodnight if you read this 🙏
@@hjkq26 excelent, fun to drive. I think that maybe was an scam because i had to work on some mechanical troubles under the hood. It's My first car so i couldnt see those ones. Fixing leakings on the transmission (fixed) and under the engine. I have an important trouble on the steering, but the car works fine. Cheap at all, fuel consumption is minimal like 12-16 km per litter of fuel. Depende on the type of driving You have. At least in Town is like 12-15 km per litter. Gonna drive it out of city this weekend, i'm specting to have 6 or 5 liters per 100km (according to the net). The only major trouble i find is that can't find spare parts. Theyre relatively cheap but are none where to find them. I have to resort to scrapyards. But a great car after all, nothing to regret.
I had two yellow 5-door Ignises. Stupidly let both go after gearbox problems. Wish I'd paid to repair them, but hindsight's a wonderful thing. Cracking cars with fantastic engines. 1.3 was better than the 1.5 in the Sport I had IMO.
@@j9drive369 They are indeed. I've never driven a car so improved by decent tyres. I think I ended up on some Falken all weather things that suited it perfectly but alas records are lost. Wading depth is impressive as well. The back end floats before you get water into the air intake! Buy one before they're gone and budget for gearbox bearings.
@@dennis9038 One at 128000km and the other at 177000km. I would recommend having the input shaft bearings replaced well before then. Great cars apart from that.
Do you deliver to Alberta , Canada? 😉 This little unit is a gem ! A guy prolly won’t pick up to many lady’s with it , but who cares , it will get ya around. 👍 Good luck with sale J9.
i have a ignis for over 17 years extremely reliable but lately there has been a small issue with the EPS replaced both EPS and the electric motor but the issue still exists do you have any idea?
also lift up the carpet behind where the clutch pedal meats the floor and behind is the harness that goes to the EPS module. maybe have broken wires where the clutch pedal has pinched the harness.

My crankshaft sensor fail three times (orginal part) now i put a ebay sensor in and it never failed again.
I’m looking to put in an aftermarket radio into my ignis. Where can I get the fascia bracket to change it like yours?
Hi, do you happen to know how far back can you recline the front seats? Would be great if they fall almost flat to the ground to somewhat make a bed.
The front seats will go back until they land on the rear seat. Not totally flat but close. If you remove the rear seat base then will drop a bit more.

I know it's been sold already but would you say that this is the Japanese historical analogue of the highly touted Fiat Panda 100hp?
Interesting point. I would agree but the ingis is a more robust car although maybe lacking in character like the panda
Hi!
Can i turn in my Ignis from 2WD to 4WD by adding reducer transmission?
I think you would need the complete 4x4 transmission and rear axle etc
A lot of parts and modifications required but it's very possible

How old is your battery? If not a weak battery then I would be looking at the torque sensor and wiring.
