I have an Edward Mann light cream/white Nautilus ribbon bridal hat - just like the one in the V and A. Ive had a lot of fun working out how they made them, as pleating is only half of the process. AMazing retro way of hat making.

I've never commented before, but you are so inspiring! I just purchased 50 stainless steel alligator clamps for $4.00 USD and I'm dying to do this cascading fanfold as a shibori type thing now and see what comes out! What a blast!
