    On Desktop Mode you should be able to run pavucontrol and output 5.1 or 7.1 to your HDMI connector.
    Even in system settings you should be able to change profiles on every audio device.

How does Mass Effect and Fallout 4 and Skyrim play? :) Wonder if I can get away with playing Kingdom Hearts 3 if I installed Windows 11 on it. Lol. Since it sucks bad on the Switch. :( as long as I can play Portal I'm happy. Lol.

In gaming mode, in the game's steam page, you go to the gear icon, properties, and change "games resolution" to native. Then some games runs directly in 4k when you open them with a 4k monitor conected and other games runs at 800p but you can change the resolution directly in the in game settings.

    I don't get why people are so into ultra wide monitors because two 1080p screens will give you more pixels. If they made screens that were 32:9 that would make more sense than 21:9.

    • @Skipti_LLC
      @Skipti_LLC  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      32:9 is a thing, but the reason I use an Ultrawide monitor is for video editing - two monitors would put a thick black line right in the middle of my video timeline. I typically game on my TV

    3:52 FSR dont use AI, its simple "TV like" upscaler. And its dont have nothing in common with DLSS. They are not version of same technology.

    • @Skipti_LLC
      @Skipti_LLC  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Apologies, I meant they’re competing in the same space, not that they are the same kind of technology. I got how it works wrong, FSR uses algorithmic upscaling to achieve a similar look to Nvidias DLSS, although how successful they are is a matter of debate.

    • @Qa_mook
      @Qa_mook 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Skipti_LLC Look definitely isn't similar, FSR is more like TAA or just TV upscaler, DLSS is more like XeSS or TSR. In terms of end results is totally different world, nothing to debate here it's measurable, maybe FSr 2.0 change that.

  • @ChadKenova
    @ChadKenova 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I think your giving false hope with this while i love the steam deck and have had mine for
    a week or so most AAA games really struggle at native resolution to get above 30-40fps and if you do get 60 you would be lucky to get 1:40 minutes out of it. Its still an impressive piece of kit but 1080p is a bit much for it natively but fsr can help. I find that running 40hz is the best option for battery life and to get a smooth performance plus it fills much better than 30. And when you running aaa intensive games like god of war or horizon zero dawn at 60 and especially unlocked the apu can hit 90C. The deck is much better for playing slightly older games or indie games. Stuff like the newer Prey, Fallout 3, 4, and New Vegas all ran great strange brigade would run native 1280x800 at 70-90 fps at medium. But there’s other games i just cant get to fill smooth with hiccups under 30 even at low. As for battery life 1-2 hours aaa unlocked or 60, older or less intensive games 3-4, indie and turning down tdp and gpu clocks 6-7 hours. I haven’t tried windows yet but I’m gonna try to dual boot soon. So far my favorite game to play on it is persona 4 golden one of my favorite jrpg’s and it doesn’t take much power at all so you can get great battery life. I locked it at 40 put tdp down to 7 watts and the gpu at 700mhz. Also been playing Ni No Kuni and Dishonered Remastered which both run 60
    no problem. My only complaint with the deck is the battery but i knew what to expect and that some games just won’t play smooth at 30fps low settings. Im still amazed playing games like god of war on a handheld and I’m sure there are many optimizations and updates coming to the deck and games soon and I can’t wait for more people get their hands on it.

    • @Skipti_LLC
      @Skipti_LLC  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      People will jump on a bandwagon with anything, a lot of people want Windows for the anti-cheat compatibility or just to have a more familiar system. Valve's made the device open so it's up to the user to do what they want with it.
