If they continue to investigate and it turns out he was in fact innocent then everyone involved with forcing this execution should be charged with murder.

there is no question he did it, he admitted it to 2 people, including his Girlfriend... the ONLY argument they claim is no DNA on the knife. He sold the Husbands laptop, it was stolen when she was killed. He has tried to plea to a charge to get just life, no question he is guilty, 15 times they reviewed this... The ONLY Reason I would have wanted life in prison was simple... the victim's family wanted life in prison... His girlfriend saw him dispose of the bloody clothing he was wearing that day

there is issues with the case... like improper handling of the knife, and a issue with a single jury member... but everything else, like the cellmate and GF claiming he vented his guilt over it... still is more then damning... they keep claiming, more time and more time, he had since the 90s to prove his he was not guilty... why make it 16, or 20 more trials? at some point the state needs to close the case. But as I say, the ones most hit by this case did not want him killed, so that should have been what won the argument over all...

They don't care, they just like to arrest SOMEBODY, ANYBODY. Cops are too lazy to investigate, they'll just arrest the first person they see. I've literally seen that.
I've seen numerous videos where cops responded to a 911 call, then got out and arrested the first person they saw without even knowing who they're looking for. In one case, someone called 911 to report that a girl was assaulting her boyfriend, so the cops drove up and arrested the guy. In another one, a guy was swimming and was accosted by a woman and her armed husband, so he called 911 and the cop drove up and pulled her gun on the VICTIM and started screaming at him. 😒
Lazy cops don't just hurt innocent people, they also aid and abet guilty ones. And they couldn't care less. They get paid the same either way. 🤦

Despite this, his execution was repeatedly discussed and eventually carried out without evidence, even against the victim’s family’s wishes. All those responsible should be investigated for their lack of transparency and evidence, and be forced to explain why they thought it was a good idea to imprison someone for so long without evidence, and then continue arrogantly to execute without evidence. This case shows that human justice is flawed and can never be true justice.

Lets be honest- the reason that this was pushed forward was to stop the city/state from being sued. This is all just so the people in power could cover their own asses and try to hide behind the veil of being able to write history as the ones on are alive to write it and not admit to wrong doings because if there was enough proof to say he was innocent and the process followed properly- the people in power would have had to admit they were wrong and compensate him.
I hope the family of this guy can find out the whole truth and make sure he WAS the person to hold responsible, because if not I hope the family sues the ever loving crap out of those involved who wanted to uphold this sentence. When you have the VICTIM'S family vouching and saying "this needs to be rethought" there's no reason other people should be pushing so senseless to kill someone.
Like I can only think of a few reasons why ANYONE would push so shamelessly to kill another person like this, one...money, or two..sadly in the case some sick crusade against someone of a different race and or religion. I don't know the reason, I just hope it stops happening because no one, regardless of creed, race, descent etc should have to go through this. This is not what American justice was meant to be.
At this point America is just Europe before the ending of nobility, except now its just the people in power and the wealthy who are the nobility just don't have to call them Lord and Lady.

This being crucial evidence in getting the jury to convict means if that evidence was not there then there’s a good chance the jury would not have convicted.
When such critical evidence can be reasonably tossed out that means you technically need to go to retrial. A lot of the case was also shown to have been grossly mishandled by the prosecution at the time. So there’s a lot of room for reasonable understanding that the case needs to at least go back to trial or be dismissed and he should not have died.
However instead there was a governor and other people who were hell bent on killing someone as if it was a trophy, and said person who pushed for it in fact has done it SEVERAL times even when ORDERED by the judge to stay the execution and or release the prisoner because enough evidence had been shown that either the case was falsely processed and or someone was proven innocent when a proper investigation was done.

He admittedly sold his friend Lisha Gayle's (the murder) victims lap top, and a ton of stuff from Lisha's home was found in his car. There will not be his DNA on the knife he used to kill her because he wore gloves. We know he wore gloves because when caught burglarizing other peoples homes in the area they found out wearing gloves was his MO. All of these facts were put to a jury 20 years ago that found him guilty. After 20 years of appeals it's time for the man to face justice. CNN is parroting the popular defense talking points, and it's not hard to understand why they have lost so much credibility. DNA technology and testing before trial did not examine “touch DNA," based on standard techniques and practices at the time. Additionally, subsequent DNA testing has never exonerated Williams.
Williams has a robust criminal history, including 15 felony convictions in addition to offenses related to Ms. Gayle's murder: robbery (2), armed criminal action (2), assault (2), burglary (4), stealing (3), stealing a motor vehicle, and unlawful use of a weapon, which is all consistent with entering the home, attacking Ms. Gayle, and taking her items.
Williams confessed the murder to his girlfriend soon after committing his horrific crime once his girlfriend found Ms. Gayle’s purse in Williams’ car, but he also threatened to kill her and her family if she told anyone, readily explaining why his girlfriend did not approach law enforcement until Williams was in custody.
The girlfriend never requested the reward for information about Ms. Gayle’s murder, despite claims that she was only interested in money.
When speaking with law enforcement, the jailhouse informant provided information about the crime that was not publicly available, yet consistent with crime scene evidence and Williams’ involvement.
Other individuals were present when Williams bragged about this murder, and they were disclosed to Williams’ team before trial and have been discussed in subsequent proceedings.
Gayle’s personal items were found in the trunk of Williams’ car.
Williams sold Ms. Gayle’s husband’s laptop to another individual who later identified Williams as the seller.

It doesn't indicate that he murdered her. Yeah. Overwhelming evidence.

He struck a corrections officer on the head with a dumbell to try to escape from prison. While in jail, he told his cellmate he killed this lady. Upon his release, the cellmate told the police. Police searched his old car, and found the murder victims belongings still in the trunk. The murder victim's stolen laptop was recovered, and the person he sold it to for crack also implicated him.
