      Well yeah.... but then he goes on to say that he thinks he would have had a few years of working as an actor. He's a terrible actor.

      He would have done fine, But The room popularity got him. People couldn't picture him outside that

      Greg's a pretty great actor, he did such a great job for Retro Puppet Master he even beat out James Franco for the lead. He said in the book that he mailed it in for The Room because he only did it for the money and assumed it would never actually get made like most of the people on the set.

    Greg looks more like a real Hollywood actor than Dave Franco

      I never understood Dave Franco’s brief time of being sort of famous. He’s faded out and with good reason.

    The fact that Greg never refers to it as "our movie", but "Tommy's movie" is very telling about how he feels, and continues to feel, about the movie.

    • @LunarEntity
      @LunarEntity 6 ปีที่แล้ว +53

      A lot of that has to do with Tommy manipulating Greg financially and emotionally. I'm sure he still values Tommy as a friend on a personal level, but I have no doubt that the filming scarred him in some way.

    In regards to what else could have been included in the movie from the book, I wish the full story of how Greg Sestero got the Mark role was included. Long story short, in the book Sestero talks about how he wasn't always going to be Mark, but in the film it depicts him as being Mark from the beginning of production. Reading about how Tommy eventually got Mark to do the role was one of my favorite parts of the book and I really would have loved to have seen that in the movie. Still loved the movie though.

    Greg got to be a part of a cult classic and in part a cult icon. Nobody really remembers or talks about virgin suicides but the room still has sold out viewings with obsessed fans! I'd take the room too

    It's kind of sad he didn't blow up as an actor. He's such a humble, intelligent and nice-seeming guy that even though he's satisfied with his career I still feel like the universe dealt him an injustice. He's also really handsome and not at all a bad actor, so I think he could've legitimately gotten a shot at something big
