Lovely and warm interview. Dmitri is good-natured (lovely laugh) and gets to calmly tell about himself and answer the interviewer's questions. For that, thanks to the interviewer. In many ways, Dmitri Alexandrovitch was an extraordinary person and singer, the best baritone.
What a fascinating interview and even more relevant in light of Russia’s war in Ukraine. Extraordinary talent, charisma, charm, and stage presence. Such a loss for the world of opera, lovers of classical music, his colleagues, and his family and friends. He’s certainly the best baritone I’ve heard in my 61 years on earth. He’s an unparalleled performer whose brilliance and beautiful spirit we’ve missed so much since his death. Thanks for posting this interview. And his English was impressive.

What a lovely interview this is. I have listened to it a few times before but today felt unwanted to say something about it. Such a lovely human being. If only all mankind were like this we would be a lovely species. There isn’t a gram of arrogance in him. I feel very sad that he is no longer with us for all our benefits 💔💔💔💔💔
Lovely to be introduced to you Demitri! I have so little time to enjoy such "musical luxuries". However, it is lovely that you were one with your audience in such a beautiful way! God Bless and love you all there and everywhere. Thank you and all so very much. Amen Glory to God in the Highest. 😘😘😘
Lovely to see and hear this under the current situation, he absolutely doesn't approve the current situation. Happy for him that he does not have to see what now goes on. Great artist and a good person, miss him very, very much! Dima the unforgettable and the incomparable.
'In order to sing, you have to fly' -- I knew as a very young child I could and wanted to sing, but I was both shy and my mother, who was mentally ill, said it was forbidden for me to sing. It was only in my 30s that I dared break free in that way, take some lessons just to free the tight constriction of fear, and only a few times did it work. But without proper training I was not as good as I could have been. The few times I did 'fly' [and it was like flying, it was such freedom and such joy when it was free -- you know when it's good, and just those few times it was good because I got out of my own way, away from the fear. And the audience was with me then, it was a joining together, and with no fear, but such joy. I am sad I never was allowed the training that might have led to being a singer when I was young. And could only overcome the fear occasionally later. Still, it is the most wonderful thing. Dmitri is easily the best singer I have ever heard because what he can do, his gift, is like no other.
This questioner is a bit creepy, but this is in English (Hallelujah!) and it gives some insight into Dmitri’s perception of himself and his art. And his charm!
