I don't want to be a party pooper, but if you're testing the backpack with a knife you should test it with something a potential thief might have on him, and that's not a kitchen knife. It would be nice to see how repellent it would be against a standard paper scalpel.

I havent had much issue with it, i got used to it pretty quick. But by no mean is it "slow" to get things in or out. Not the worlds fasted but you have the added safety/security features!

The black strap at the top next to the lock can be cut. As of today XD Design refuses to address this security flaw.Despite this.....in a practical use setting such as public transportation most people don’t walk around with scissors in their hands. So by the time they start cutting the strap (which is very close to the neck area) you will notice this motion & get away before they succeed. So in the end it is a security flaw but not one that would necessarily cause a loss unless you are asleep or leave your bag unattended.
Hi just purchase one. And id like to know which area is still prone to cut damage. I dont have the guts to test my self. But yeah on grey area surface is damage proof. Not sure the bottom, the strap and other non grey area is damage proof though.

This bag is simply too secure. Such that even the owner will find it troublesome if he wants to quickly access his stuff. Need more outside back pocket.

I have this backpack... and the strap is reinforced with two steel wires running along the length of the strap.
It is reinforced with steal unless they have a big wire cutter i don't see how they would be able to cut it
Those wire reinforcements may be in a newer version of the bag. Mine doesn't have that. It can be easily cut with scissors or a cutter.

The top part of the strap stich came off, I hardly cary 2 kilo. But XD Team is THE BEST MAN they helped me get it fixed.
