We are so excited to finally share the official video for Soy Gitano with everyone! When we started working on our new EP, we knew right away that we wanted to pay tribute to the Flamenco culture and the legendary singer Camaron de La Isla by covering his iconic song. After hours upon hours of working in the studio and scratching our heads trying to figure out how to approach this, we decided to take the chorus of the song and construct something new around it (no pressure) And like always, Ryan brilliantly came up with a hypnotizing verse and pre chorus that felt completely organic. Now, we had a form, a skeleton and road map for the piece. We then enlisted the help of our good friend and great producer Alex Kemp along with some badass musicians who gave the piece the feel and groove it deserved. Once the dust settled and we came out of the creative trance, it was time for Video ideas. Insert our great friend and amazing director Pip Calloway. Her creative vision was just what we needed for the visual story telling that was missing. We spent a couple of days in the dunes with two crazy dancers and a great crew and couldn’t be happier with the results! We hope the sentiment of respect and love comes through with this homage to a great culture that has influenced us both in many ways.

Me ha dejado descolocada cuando la he escuchado hoy por primera vez en la radio porque no esperaba encontrar a Camarón fusionado con este tipo de música (dance, chill out??) ¡Me ha encantado! Son dos tipos de música muy diferentes y no me parece fácil fusionarlas . ¡Enhorabuena! I love it! It´s full of good vibes :)
