I’m a fan now, incredible break through evidence. Let’s have the courts adapt this as abuse. #savethechildren

Are there treatment programs for families after the childen are grown. For adult estranged families? Suggested reading for us? This is wonderful information. Someone truly cares about families!!! You are correct about courts and problems. Children are being given to the abusive parent. Its a mess out there.

My youngest is now (25), haven’t heard from her in years, but was a Daddy’s girl. Till I divorced her mother… Roman C.
      There are two paths:
      1) Here in 3D as Dr. Childress describes…
      - Remember children are adaptable, but too often scarred by the hypocrisy of the self-serving family court industry …
      - My Buddhist, third wife said “She must choose when to wake up…”
      2) Spiritual…
      - We are all sovereign spiritual beings, here in Earth School, to exercise our independent free will to choose. Some very mature souls, incarnate into some of the most horrible situations… unfortunately the veil of forgetting makes it difficult to wake up.
      - Love is the answer, be compassionate, (darkness or low vibrational behavior helps us to be more compassionate). (Greed, Ego, and Fear lead to lower vibrational energies…)
      - The only book on Steve Jobs iPhone “Autobiography of a Yogi” a good start. Ask God (inside you, your intuition) “What’s my role here?” Etc…

My therapist has told me many times that I must have done something wrong if my children have ghosted me. Now I’m not. perfect but I definitely did not do anything to merit estrangement

Stay strong. I also have been deleted by my 4 kids by an ex with BPD. The Family court system is broken and even encourages this behavior. You are not alone.

Psychologists/counselors/ doctors always have the same trait….they all seem to have a really calm demeanor and a way of making a bad situation sound like it’s going to be okay. I would like to have that too.

I saw a video you did on how alienating parents use basic facts as a foundation to spin other yarns, in a clear and recognized pattern. My weakness were terribly exploited, and Im dealing w PTSD now.

They slander the “normal range” parent, so the court do know what’s up or down

There have been proests assisting to remove children from the targeted patent by helping college aged teens to move very far away. Its also a traditional Catholic cult. My point is that within the Catholic Church cult I attended there were many pathologies among the families.

I am a psych nurse practitioner, I am also going through family court, high conflict, my husbands ex wife is alienating us. Well has successfully done so with the 18 year old daughter, but we are fighting for the 12 year old. I wish there was a way to have the court see this!!

I am in support of the work you are doing. And I have a reason to be personally interested. Have there been studies with larger sample sizes than 46? Has there been peer review? Are there plans for further research? Sometimes rock like ignorance is fear of a lack of support from the profession 😕

8 yrs in court. Minors counsel made things worse. Judges think it’s BOTH of us alienating our kids.

So are you saying this is identifying Parental Alienation in a more accurate direct way? Are you recognizing that PA is child abuse? Or are you saying that PA is child abuse but not to diagnose PA but diagnose child psychological abuse (talking about one in the same, but labelling it as 'child abuse' and not PA)?

What I get out of this and a few of his lectures is that PAS, as described by Gardner, is a flawed paradigm and not fully rooted in evidence based therapy; which it must be to be considered a best practice.
The other issue with PAS is that even those who acknowledge the valuable portions of Gardner's research concede that he had some very unhealthy and immoral ideas, which taint the overall body of his work.
Childress addresses the individual components and behaviors that culminate in a result of alienation and their diagnosable abusive nature on an evidence based level.
This allows for the diagnosis of already understood and acknowledged psychological behaviors and disorders which already exist instead of blazing new theoretical territory.
