you're my favorite reading channel, since you actually comment on what you read, and you're not afraid to show your face, you're much better than those AI robot voice channels

"Reply All" is not inherently bad. Using it to send email to three or four relevant people is fine.
What's bad is using "Reply All" to unintentionally send email to hundreds, thousands, or more people

I want to be part of one of those Reply All disasters, so I can reply all with "Don't Reply All." Hey, some men just want to watch the world burn.

I'm torn between laughing and and getting irritated at those, lol. Maybe it's rage bait, maybe it's Maybelline! 😂

My supervisor is part of the safety committee and sends out monthly advisories, talking about various things and usually based on the season (ice in the winter, stuff like that). Me and him were joking around about it and made a joke one. He accidentally sent out the joke advisory that said not to feed [casino general manager] after midnight and then basically explained the gremlins movie but with [GM] instead

If I had a nickel for every time a graphic artist or designer I've seen or heard about didn't join their lines or merge their dang layers, I'd be one rich lady! So many artists just act like they're drawing on paper and totally ignore the finishing. They then have shocked Pikachu face when things don't come out right. Merging and checking for errors is one of the first lessons.
My dad is a retired engineer who worked as a project manager, and he had countless stories of dumb crap he had to painstakingly fix because 🎶it was the 90s🎶 (lol) and people were relatively new to computer drafting. The older designers who were used to hand drafting their technical drawings on paper often never bothered/wanted to learn how to properly use Autocad, a drafting software.
You'd probably be surprised how dumb supposedly intelligent people like engineers and designers can think and act. Some just don't seem to know that it's their job to submit a working, finished file. "That's not my job. It's the job of the printer/producer, etc to check the files and make them work!" 🙄 The printers aren't backend, and it's the designer's job to make sure it works.

Not a reply all bit it had similar results. I worked for a national office supply company in their online division. The ordering process could be a bit confusing for new hires. In one screen was a box for internal notations about the customer , stuff like this customer is hearing impaired etc. In another screen was a box for external notes for the delivery drivers. Customer has a big dog or 5 flights of stairs ... We had a newbie one day who had a total Karen. After dealing with her for like 20 minutes, he was so done. He wrote a note in the box all in caps CUSTOMER IS A TOTAL BITCH!! unfortunately.... yup...wrong box. 3 days later our beloved Karen was handed a package with a shipping label that read CUSTOMER IS A TOTAL BITCH bold, all caps, front and centre. 😮😂 yah, he was let go...

Oh god when I was on the bench (the time in between clients) I use to get e-mails with a job description and I request to send a 1 slide portfolio page and/or resume and the amount of replies due to Reply All I got to those e-mails always made me wonder about the work force of today. There was mostly programmers in my company.

I worked at a major computer company when it was going down the drain. there was a company=wide email from the ceo about austerity measures, teamwork, rah rah company, etc.
some genius at a different location did a reply all (about 20,000 employees or so) mocking the ceo about how the company doesn't actually care about employees and how we were all expendable.
about five seconds after receiving it (which most of us had read already) we got a series of recall messages. the message was NOT recalled successfully...

in middle school, someone figured out what the all student email address code was for our district, and emailed every student in the entire school district of tens of thousands of kids. teachers and admin had no idea for hours because they weren’t able to see it, and some NASTY stuff got said in that thread 😭

Wow... the "captions guy" really dropped the ball on that one. Aren't you just using a bot? If you're paying an actual human, they just failed the Turing test. They couldn't even decipher "5tick 1t 1n My A55"

At some point he said "the person doing the captions". So he at least believes there is a person.
Either there is none to begin with or the one doing the captions is definitely not ding their job and rather shoved it over to a really bad speech-to-text program.

I am so glad I so the opposite. I normally Reply, and often have to re-send because I did not Reply All.
Too bad the person doing the captions didn't do as requested for story 45. Phrases do make easy to remember passwords.

Ugh I hate how human errors nowadays get blamed a lot on “computer glitches.” I get technical difficulties are often just that, but I see often at my job my direct supervisor constantly reply “must be a computer glitch” when I can see why it’s probably not. Even mistakes I make myself at work I owe up to. And I find reply all being an extra step over just replying to the sender so idk why it’s done so much mistakenly.

      @Just1Nora 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

Glad to hear someone own up to that sort of thing. I will admit I sometimes blame my lack of responding to texts/msgs as technical problems. Sometimes it's really just fb messenger not alerting me to a msg, but some days I'm just not able to deal with the emotion dump I know will be released on me.
But if I screw up and write something wrong or send it to the wrong place, then that's on me and I'll admit my mistake. I think people are afraid of the consequences, so they blame technology. It's very much a modern, "The dog ate my homework," kind of excuse.
I think many people have just gotten lazy and tech dependent. If the computer doesn't correct their mistake, then it's the computer's fault for missing the error and not theirs for making it in the first place. This saves people from the embarrassment of confronting their mistakes and any potential consequences.
