If you have car in Ireland I think this weather is not a factor, moreover we are getting 3 months summer maximum good enough to enjoy. I am here since 5 years I don’t think this country feeling boring for me we are enjoying this. Irish passport is the strongest passport once you get the Irish passport you can work all over Europe, also chance to get work in Australia under young professional visa.
Now my sister is working in Ireland and preparing to migrate to Aus but Appolo hospital Kolkata,her previous employer is not responding reference mails. Is there any solution?

I think, many people have experienced the same issue when they had to take decision on Australian migration (especially when people are living/ settled in Ireland for many years). I hope everyone who decides to migrate will get used to the new lifestyle and environment in a shot span of time. I haven’t heard anyone saying that they are willing to return, or said they took the wrong decision. An important thing to consider would be to stay longer and plan your retirement in a country you like, as you would need to access pension and other benefits from the government at a later stage in your life. It is vital to weigh the pros and cons and decide to migrate at an younger age rather than trying for the same at a later stage. Best wishes.

I appreciate your thoughts on this. The intensity of heat experienced at 22°C in other countries many vary. It feels like 34°C when we have a few days of sunshine in Ireland (with 22-24°C outside). But in India or other parts of the world, it could be a different story. Again it is just one factor that people tend to focus on when making their decision (to move abroad/ to Australia) along with other priorities in their life. I assume that there is no place on earth where you could live without compromising on something which you like. Every country/ place has its own unique weather and culture. The focus should be on preferences of individuals.

Sorry, I didn’t mean to be rude. We came here from Bangalore in Dec. so far. Nothing as expected. Expensive country. We were better off at Bangalore. Comfortable and convenient life. Ireland is very quite and nothing interesting to do. Social life is zero. I feel bad for the guys living in limerick or cork .
Hi Anish, it takes a bit of time to settle in and get integrated to the culture, life and weather. If you compare Ireland to other EU countries, life is quite and you may get bored after a while. However, once you start driving around and explore different places and the natural beauty of Ireland, you may like the place. Moreover, it rains throughout the year and generally it is cold (except the short summer season). This may be a disappointing factor for many who are migrating from a country where it is usually warm and sunny throughout the year.
