16 ohm speaker to 8 ohm speaker? Can I do this?

    As long as your speaker impedance (OHMS) is higher than your amp output rating, you are fine, it would be like turning it down, no harm. Going lower is when you get trouble, but, you can run a 4 ohm on a 8 ohm output, not recommended of coarse, but as long as you do not turn it up more than half or so, you will keep the Wattage at the rated level, which is the real need. When you parallel though resistors in the circuit, you will cause that much current to be wasted as heat, and not heard. Do that with speakers only, or in series for a tweeter pad circuit.

    the amp is 8ohm min then. 16ohm is ok to just wire them up. just running like 4ohm or 2ohm will do damages
