- The children in the village and Dawang are like friends and family. Every morning, Dawang will accompany them for a walk to school, and then come home to enjoy his hearty breakfast. For Dawang, these routines must be done at the beginning of the day🤭

He is so chill and calm. Making sure the kids are coming along, checking out activities as he goes by. I bet those kids never have to worry about anything, if anyone comes along to cause trouble, one growl from Dawang and that will be that.

Dawang has charmed so many over the years ever since Apenjie brought her delightful vids out. Coming from a family who loves and rescues dogs, we often check out breeds, compare 'dog years' to 'human years' in age, how best to look after them, etc...so readily available on Google these days too. Not surprisingly, we look at Dawang, an Alaskan Malamute, converting his age to human age. It appears Dawang [first brought home to the household as a young pup in December 2017] would be approaching his early 40s now in human terms. No longer a youngster ;)
So, Dawang, at your respectful age, if you need a rest now and then, you rest. But careful, don't be overweight 😊

As he got older, of course he was less active, but never like to let us know he was still that loving little boy we fell in love with!!! I tried very very hard to convince myself, it was inevitable that he was going to pass, I was in denial. You know."you had him longer than expected", "he had a great life", "you'll be ok" !! Well I said 'he didn't livelong enough, I had a great life and I want more, I'm not okay "...I have had a lot of loss and tragedy, but this one hit me hard...I MISS HIM SOOOOO MUCH! I cry everyday! I don't know how to settle for you gave him a long, loving life..still NG!! I don't know how to be happy with that! Watching Dawang, it just makes me smile!! I'm trying...

🐶I write this with tears in my eyes, as an animal lover, especially our furry dog friends. Many many years ago, I had husky dogs who had amazing personalities. One was an Alaskan Husky, the other Siberian. I loved our daily walks. The one who looked most like Dawang we named Lobo (wolf) at the time. Someone stole them both out of my yard one weekend.
Just want to thank you for sharing Dawang with us. There are so many pressures and problems in our world today, but watching your sweet gentle giant (oh what a beautiful happy dog) and all of your interactions, it gives me hope as well as great joy & peace (I've been through alot, especially lately). Sending best friend hugs from Georgia USA to Dawang, he is the best & you are all so fortunate to have his presence & know this powerful simplicity as a way of life. I'm so happy to see that Dawang is on a raw meat diet. So many dogs in America suffer from health problems due to their owners ignorance about commercial dog food. Although homemade cooked dog food is definitely healthier than commercial dog food, dogs in raw meat diets have healthier coats and teeth than dogs on cooked meat diets. Cooked dog food also tends to give dogs digestive problems, as well as bad breath and flatulence.
& I think he also drinks spring water.
It's crazy how dawang is so big, anyone walking around the village and meet him in the streets would definitely be intimidated, but dawang is so gentle,
