This is might be wrong, your A is 1X3 matrix ,and B is 2X1 matrix, it would be possible if A is 3X1 matrix and B is 1X2 matrix. Always number of first matrix columns should be equal to the number of the second matrix rows as you statement says. so, you got confused or I got confused:)
