Why do Kenyans trreat their president as if he is a monarch or royalty? A red carpet must be laid down for every official ceremony he attends, and his "subjects" seem to fawn over him at every turn. I appreciate that the office of the presidency should command respect and a certain level of decorum, but this type of behavior is mystifying. By comparison, I don't see the leaders of Western governments being accorded such accomodation. For example, when the president of the USA disembarks his aircraft, he is flanked only by the Secret Service personnel and a few aides. There is no red carpet!!
His handlers need a job so they exaggerate n involve too many hands to serve the president n so president won't interfere with how juniors are running the office n make someone loose a job or tender of laying the red carpet.... Then the wanainchi like pomp n exaggerated stuff
