I just found this video and was so happy to see that Erdenheim Farms still has horses on the property. I lived on Bethlehem Pike right down from the Farm back in the late 70s. I believe Fitz Dixon was the owner then and I used to love seeing his beautiful horses there. So happy the place hasn't been sold for development!
Susan Flowers pretty standard equipment for a horse in harness. Blinkers are used to keep the horses from seeing wheels coming up behind them and to keep them focused on what's ahead. If you've ever driven a horse that's trying to flee from something "chasing" them, you'd be happy to use blinkers.
