Christopher Read they are not.. they run what we call an A-train which is essentially a 53' trailer with a short pup tagging along(the hitch length depends on states) which is why we usually split our B-trains in the states and run single trailers, once we get back in Canada we hook up to a few sets of spare B-trains and run doubles again
Hahah only thing complexe is your different drivers license, is you need a single license and you can pull any type of combination trailers, Canada goes by axles.. states goes by lengths

Oh ritto so the second trailer is just a 3 or 4 axle dog trailer?.
In the states it all depends, your max gross weight depends on how long your setup is due to the bridges, out b-train in Canada are usually 3+2
