- Grease the groove is a catchy term to describe high frequency training practice sessions. It can be very effective for helping you learn, and become more comfortable, with an exercise that’s difficult to get the hang of.
You can certainly build muscle with grease the groove, but it may not be the most efficient and worthwhile approach. You’re probably better off getting in a few hard sets of the exercise that’s pushes the muscles to a high state of fatigue in a short period of time rather than spending all day to achieve the same result.
