I know you can run the same chain length on the Epic WC when switching between 34>36, but the "last gen" Epic sram states needs a 118 length chain for 36T (and 38) - So most likely similar with your epic 8, and probably why shifts arent as smooth. 32/34T with 116 links, 36/38 with 118.

What do you want to know about it? I asked trek when they are gonna release the flight attendant bike and they don’t know so I don’t foresee myself buying another one soon. At least not until I can compare it fairly with flight attendant not being a factor.

I have a size large 9.9 xx1 mechanic gen1

I think it’s essential for racing. The supercaliber is kinda interesting tho because the bike’s so efficient you might now need it. But like it’s also a drawl back of the supercaliber now. A more capable 120 XC bike with flight attendant might outclass the supercaliber
