Got a 2004 4WD Sequoia SR5. Now has 185,000 miles. Paid $4000 for it in 2020. Love it. There have been a few small issues, but they have been easy and cheap to fix. 😊
Bonkers. In Oregon, 2006-8 with 150k-200k miles are $20k and above. I don't give 2 💩's about resale value if it costs me 2X what it should in the first place
Need to come buy in South Carolina they low as $2,000-$5,000, I just bought an 03 Limited with 193,000 miles for $3,995 , i see another it’s a 02 SR5 for $1,800 with 202,000 miles, it just need brakes and control arms, thinking about buying to resell.
@MalikBaggz prices on these have started to come down in NC/SC/GA lately. I was set on getting an LX 470 but these first gen Sequoia prices are alot better.
I picked up a 2007 Limited w/180k for 5k, 1 owner and looked up the vin and all service was done at Lexus. With that said, I already have a 2016 GX 460. I enjoy driving my Sequioa much more. It's spacious, a million cup holders. hahaha. I upgraded the front door speakers as you know, they were shot and my next, is the head unit. Not sure what to go with yet.
1.Not sure which year you have but 05 to 07 without sealed transmission should be preference. These years seemed to avoid the exhaust manifold leak (eventually loud ticking after 200k) 2. Make sure seller has at least one master key. Price decrease if they dont. The ignition system is top of the line security. Having no keys, a locksmith would throw his hands up or charge more than you'll ever pay for a different key 3. Ball joints are another weak point. Tsb also recommends lower control arms and/or bushings. 4. This a vehicle people like to overprice to all things consider know its worth frok inspection of its weak points
love these things, just picked up an 06 4wd a few weeks ago and have started messing around with it. can’t wait for future trips with it. we usually tow with my Titan but it’s a lot more cumbersome to park than the Sequoia.
just spent $3500 on an '03 with 330k miles on it. Or, so it was last recorded as such in 2022. Someone turned back the odometer to 125k a few years ago lol. Could've fooled me. This thing does not feel like it has that many miles on it. That's Seattle for ya, at least it's rust free.
Lucky! I picked one up for 4k 280k mi. But... it had frame rust that i couldn't see at night during the transaction. Hopefully rust prevention will allow it to last a few more years
Sold my 4th gen 4R a couple of weeks ago, came across your channel, now considering a Sequoia 😄 So what are the CONS of the later 07’s? (I would just daily it & haul the family, no offroading, no heavy towing at all)
Ive been trying to find a comparison between the 1st gen Sequoia an 2nd gen Tahoe specifically the room on the interior. Having a hard time. Also are these interference engines with the timing belts?
In Calif its crazy, hardly any 4WD's for sale but not two worried about that, looking for an 05 or newer with low miles (under150k and no accidents) and the cheapest I can find is 10k with no service records

just know it means a lot to me that you make helpful videos on the 02 sequoia man
Appreciate it 🙏🏼
Ditto… thank you Sir.
Just bought 190k 1g seq for 2k, runs amazing . So much fun
Rust free 05+ starts around $10k here in NC regardless of the miles. They are more popular than the 4runners here so you pay the fan boy tax.
The prices on these 20 year old SUVs are absolute insanity. Probably won't be getting one. Anyone that pays over $10k is a crazy person.
I agree but think it may be worth 7k. New economy shit box cars are 30k now. @@Gooby12337

I bought a 2007 2wd sequoia with 113k miles one year ago. Silver sky metallic limited edition. Love my Toyota!
Really concise video, basically answered all my questions regarding the sequoia. Great stuff man!

Got a 211k mile 04 Sequoia for 5k here in Houston. No rust and full service history. New tires, new rack and pinion, and somewhat new radiator.

I'm hearing that happens a lot with 4runners

🔥 I just got a 04 sequoia
2nd gen sequoia got independent all around suspension, tundra’s have rear solid axle to this day

Underrated truck fr
Thanks for the video
I picked up a 07 sr5 4wd for $8,500 this month. Wish it would have been 4k like yours but it was still worth what I paid for it.
Good price, how many miles

Just piced up an 02 sequoia. Definitely will checkout calipers. Can i just buy calipers desisgned for newer model or is there a conversion process?

I think you meant that only the 2nd gen Sequoia's are non solid rears, not including the Tundras
Yes!
They did irs for the second gen for more interior space
And again we have the same vehicle 🤣 just got a 02 4wd limited for 3700 just free
🙌🏽
2wd can tow 6500
in 2024 price of 1st gen Sequoia starts from 7k lol with over 200k miles
Facts just picked one up for 9K with 164k miles and interior is better than my 4 year old car
