    I just made these! Well I put the custard in premade tarts didn't realize it was a graham cracker crust xD but still was delicious. The filling was legit taste like egg tart filling! I'm sure if I would've made the traditional egg tart crust it would've been 💯

    If not for this recipe, egg tarts would’ve definitely been the thing to cave me in as a vegan 😂 I can’t live without this stuff!! 💕

    You are my hero for making all these dim sum recipes!! Never thought I'd eat dimsum again after going vegan, and egg tarts were my favorite! You made my dreams come true, haha!

    oh my freaking gosh these were my FAVORITE dim sum item along with custard buns before going vegan! i always miss it from time to time. i'm sooo happy to finally find a vegan recipe for this -- thank you so much, you are amazing

      Hey Christina was the sugar quantity meant to be in tablespoons? I used 1½ teaspoons as per the recipe and am questioning whether my sweet tooth is really that bad 😅😅

      @@shannenlibres2365 The custard was a good texture (just wish it was sweeter) but I'm sure I screwed up the dough because it wasn't flaky for me (I used hydrogenated coconut oil which is what I could find) but my partner really liked it still

    You might want to try an overhead camera view or a camera placed in front of you instead of behind you so that you don't block your camera~

    Use tumeric powder instead of chemical yellow food coloring for health reason.

    The dough process reminded me of making puff pastry dough, if I'm pinched for time do you think puff pastry shells could be a substitute for the handmade shells? I've never had egg tarts so I'm not sure if that would have a similar taste!

      East Meets Kitchen Thank you for that comprehensive reply! The Pepperidge Farm brand at grocery stores is accidentally vegan so I usually use that because my one attempt at making it from scratch was a big disaster, haha!
