I love how Dorit tries to learn languages and owning it. People shouldn’t shame anyone who tries to learn, practice, and own their love for languages. That’s what makes Dorit a great housewife.

As an Italian, I can tell Dorit lived in Italy. She speaks quite well and with a very good accent

They make it a joke a lot when people reply to her in English but honestly, to learn a language, it takes practice and she’s smart to make use of when she’s communicating with native speakers
People are too scared to make mistakes but just like we go to school and learn and the teacher corrects us, that's how we learn. I didn't realise this was when lvp was in it. Dorit seemed nice then. I love languages. I come from a country where we have our creole language and English and I speak two more fluently and know bits of various languages
Far more respectable to visit a country and make an effort to try and communicate to a certain level in their language, rather than do what most people do, visit a foreign country, with no clue how to speak their language and complain about people not speaking English..
More people should try to speak more than one language .. at least she is trying

She may be as anoying as the most, but she has a few redeeming qualities. First, she always delivers the looks. Second, knowing so many languages and speaking them when you are talking to natives (even if they're fluent in English), speaks volumes about her respect and appreciation towards other's cultures and heritages.
Dorit is a linguaphile that is a word most commonly used to refer to people who are multilingual because of their love for learning languages.

As an italian, she speaks it very well! She clearly lived here because all those little regionalism she uses in her talks. Like when she says "che c'hai" (what do you have) she says it in the colloquial way instead of "che avete o che hai o "cosa offrite", that is very interesting

I actually enjoy and respect Dorit's love for languages. Especially beacuse she talks to natives in their language, for me its the otherly most sign of respect when u are travelling.

The whole when they talk back to you english thing is kinda bs. Most people can pick up on a foreigner and will spek back in English or whatever language they think you speak if they know it. I live in Spain, and despite my fluency people still speak to me in English. It's understandable they want to practice too. It is also a reflex when you work in tourism. My husband still responds to me in English sometimes even though he knows I speak his language. Hell I spent most of my studies begging my peers to talk to me in Spanish. It is normal and had no indicator that you speak bad the language. If you were speaking bad they would correct you not talk in English. That meant they understood you.
