Putting a chuck into a chuck to machine it is a bit like a Semi-truck loaded backwards onto another semi-truck where you question your sanity for a split second when you see it on the autobahn.
Nice to see your thoughts behind customizing the tooling. In Fusion I've been starting each project by creating several empty New Components. Then I "activate" a component and work on it. Then "activate" another and work on that. It keeps the timeline at the bottom of the screen much smaller - showing only the part you're working on at the moment. You need to remember to "activate" the part or the assembly when switching to keep the operations in the proper timeline group of course. It makes subsequent searching and editing MUCH easier. I didn't notice if you work that way, too.
Really like your explanations how to get precision in your work. Just curious of how much difference it makes when working with different diameters. Guess the scroll plate spiral isn't perfect. Reason for using soft jaws. Question. where do you get the MoS2 grease?
Great work. Always enjoy watching Your problem solving. Can You maybe recommend a German supplier of precision ground flat bar? Im flying to Germany in 3 days for a 4 week holiday. I need two pieces of 1000mm length and approx 30mm wide and 8mm or 10mm thickness. If I can purchase there I will ship it back home via DHL or Aramex. I can find any supplier near me or any of my neighboring countries.
@@StefanGotteswinter Awesome thanks alot. Ive been trying to get diamant machine epoxy also and they do not want to ship to me so I will also get some while im there. I want to form fit my BT30 ATC spindle into its clamp.
Ah, an old fashioned Chinese industrial hobby kit video, my favorite.
You sure got a lot out of that little Chinese chuck, but you’ve put a lot of work into it too. Thanks for the video. Merry Christmas!
Quite a lot going on inside that chuck in such a small space. Nice work. Merry Christmas Stefan
Time for a coffee with my cat sat on my knees, supervising 😂

Here for the cat🎉❤

I was hoping it would be Kettenrad, Quinn's European nephew 😂

In English it is 'Mo Lib Den Um' (lib sounds like lip with a B) Nice adapter BTW :-)

I use Abrams Premiumstahl and Marks Normalien - Both tend to be not-very-cheap.

For decades we wondered why we had to put up with such an inferior chuck - but Peppermint Patty stood up to Charlie Brown.
You need a Vampire trigger warning...lol
Watching this with my dog
